caycep: (Hmm.)
[personal profile] caycep
A couple of days after the Hachiko statue was finished, Cayce went off to see if she could find Sallah.  Read more... )

Her exchange of letters with Setsuna on the subject of people leaving or going missing rankled, and so after some thought, she posted a large sheet of paper on the central bulletin board.

OFFICIAL DISNEYLAND CENSUS
PLEASE SIGN YOUR NAME TO THIS NOTICE.

If you don't sign your name, we'll assume something has happened to you.
And if it turns out you're here after all,
we'll ... beat you with wet noodles. Or something.
--Cayce P.

A little later, the following postscript was added.

P.S. Some wiseasses people are wondering what this is for.
Short version: there's a couple of people here that can't be found,
and plus I don't think there's ever been an official list of who's here.
So be a good sport and sign. Please?
--C.P.

Later yet, Cayce scribbled on one more postscript.

P.P.S. And Mr. Fell had a great idea -- if you don't mind, jot down
where you live -- either the specific building or just the area of the park.
Thanks!
--C.P. (Starcade, Tomorrowland)

((Have at it, guys -- graffiti the sign, have written arguments with others on it, leave jokes, whatever ... just make your presence known.))
skaffenamtiskaw: (Mellow - Yellow)
[personal profile] skaffenamtiskaw
Skaffen-Amtiskaw had spent much of its time examining the various rides and amusements in the park, and now had a fairly thorough archive of schematic drawings and recordings for all of Frontierland and a good chunk of Adventureland now as well.  Still, all work and no play makes Fohristiwhirl Skaffen-Amtiskaw Handrahen Dran Easpyou a dull drone, so the day after the holiday decorations came down, one could find it drifting thoughtfully through the park, collecting flowers and linking them into daisy chains.  Occasionally it stopped to spy on people it saw in the distance, and once or twice to skip rocks at the ducks in the ponds.

((Random just-for-the-hell-of-it open RP for anyone who wants to get a character or two out to play.  The drone is currently in a pretty good mood, but that shouldn't stop anyone who wants to try and annoy it. ^_^))

So Kurogane was going to be difficult, was he? He complained about Fay never saying anything meaningful. That, Fay decided, was hypocritical.

He had to get him something for Christmas. He's making a list, he's having Mokona write it for him... )

Hiruma slams open the trapdoor to the Devil Bats' newly aquired underground weapons storage room, large gun over one shoulder, schoolbag slung over the other, already dressed in his football gear for practice. Cerberus bounds up behind him... impossible for a dog to climb a rung ladder, but somehow he manages it without making it seem like it's difficult at all. The team should be pretty much used to sights like this now...

Except the team isn't here. And Hiruma notices that Deimon isn't here at all before the immediate reaction to yell can even be acted upon, so he stands there looking around, assessing. He's not at school, he's in a park. Disneyland, it looks like, and he'd assume Tokyo Disneyland... except for when he spots that Mouse and Cat, they start speaking English to him.

Not Tokyo, then.

Hiruma is rated PG-13 at least )

((Application for Youichi Hiruma from the manga series Eyeshield 21. Taken from after the team's victory over the Shinryuuji Naga... which pretty much only means he's pumped about making it to the semifinals of the tournament and has regained some of the habits he lost when Musashi left. Like... spinning his gun like a pencil while he's thinking and ignoring when it fires at people. XD

Also, yes, he has Cerberus the demon dog with him... He won't be so much of a pet as a stray that will hang around and be used sparingly. Please, just let me know if it's a problem! [And yes, this is the Kurogane player. Another character already wth.]))

((Takes place a couple of days after Musical Day.  Much like last time, start a new comment thread when your character shows up.))

In the classic manner of all great ideas, this one came to Sallah at an unlikely time.

It came to me in a dream! )

The note tacked to the Adventureland gate read:
Not done exploring yet.  Continuing work inside the Indiana Jones Adventure.  All are welcome to join.  --Sallah

A white, fluffy little creature looks around, a large smile on its little face. Its long ears twitch in anticipation. Well, this looks like fun.

As if Tas wasn't enough genuine cheerfulness )

((Mokona is from CLAMP's Tsubasa RESERvoir CHRoNiCLES. Well, and slightly xxxHolic, too, but mostly Tsubasa.))

As soon as Tas was allowed to go (actually, now that he thought about it, he had no idea why he didn't try to explore earlier), Tas ran into the park, looking in every building, door, and anything else he could get inside. Those that were locked were easily unlocked thanks to Tas' lockpicking kit. He also saw a bunch of rides that he decided not to go on because, as Tanis had told him, it wasn't conductive to a long life (they looked positively gnomeish, and as interesting as they looked, Tas decided that he probably needed to live long enough to get stepped on by Chaos).

Running into another locked door (really, if these locks were meant to entertain guests, they could have been a little more difficult), he pulled out his kit and got to work. The door didn't open right away, and Tas' face lit up. He pulled out some more tools, and tried harder.

Cheerfully, Tas decided that it must be some sort of wizard lock, and got serious about it. What fun!

((As Cayce asks so she shall receive. Sort of.))

Long was the battle of wills against the Dark Lord, and wearying, but after Aragorn at last wrest the Palantir from Sauron’s grasp and saw in it many things he did not sleep but stood long in contemplation, watching the night from his window high in the Hornburg. And when Dawn crept over the sill by which he stood he had come to his decision, and it was as though a great weight was lifted from him and he felt no weariness though it had been long indeed since he had lain down his head in sleep.

And so he turns his face to the dawn, as he did during the battle, and once again in the dawn he finds hope, and the Hope of Men smiles into the brightening sky as the sun lifts herself over the plains and he is momentarily blinded by her brilliance.

When he can see again he stands not in the place he stood before. )

((Aragorn is from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, and despite the fact that I am using Viggo Mortensen as his pb, I will in fact be playing the bookverse version. Players can assume that Aragorn looks just like Viggo except for a few discrepancies; he is slightly taller and somewhat less grimy, his clothes are subtly different than those worn in the movies and carry different devices, and he speaks English (Common Tongue to him) with an unidentifiable accent. He does not carry the Evenstar pendant.

Feel free to have your characters be confused by this. ;-)

I am taking Aragorn from the beginning of The Return of the King from the point just after he looks into the Palantir, but before he, Legolas, and Gimli leave Rohan for the paths of the dead.

This is sure to be yet another great adventure. Wait until I tell Flint about this. )

((Tasslehoff Burrfoot from Dragonlance. He's taken from right before the happenings in The War of the Souls.

Also, if I happen to get something wrong, feel free to correct me. >_>; I haven't read Dragonlance since I was fourteen. XD;; I intend to march down to the library tomorrow and get all the Tasslehoff books I can get my hands on though.))
