cordially invite you to a Holiday party
To be held, five days from today,
after sunset at our home
Above the Fire station,
Main Street
Kindly RSVP by post
We look forward to seeing you
Crowley, I'd really like it if you came, but don't feel obligated if you'd rather not. Oh, I'll need some good brandy and rum for cooking and drinks. Do you have any you could spare? Actually, I also need nutmeg if you can find any.
I really do hope you'll come,
Aziraphale
((I'll start a thread for the party on the 23rd, under the understanding of course than many of us will be posting infrequently around then. For new people still in applications, if you're assigned a land before the 23rd, assume you were invited. ^^))

Date: 2006-12-18 10:35 pm (UTC)Dear Fell-san and Liddell-san, thank you very much for the invitation.
Mokona is so excited!
We will be there. Even Kuro-rin. We'll drag him if he's being a silly doggy.
Kuro-daddy always is such a silly doggy.
Have you met Kuro-pon yet? He's not as scary as he looks. A little scary.
A lot scary, thinks Mokona! But he doesn't bite! Well, anybody but Fay-mommy anyway!
But don't send him away.
Because then Fay-mommy would get sad.
Anyway, thank you again! Fay and Mokona and Kuro-doggy
And Mokona wrote the letter! ^_^

Date: 2006-12-19 12:30 am (UTC)You cannot be serious. What part of 'demon' and 'celebration of the birth of Him incarnate' could you possibly think went together? We don't get on, if you'll recall.
If you want the liquor, you'll have to come pick it up.
-Crowley
((This isn't necessarily the final work on his attendance. He may yet be convinced...))

Date: 2006-12-19 03:36 am (UTC)If you read the invitation, you'll see that it is clearly a holiday party, not a Christmas party. That could mean anything, you know. In fact, coming and considering it solstice or something would be a bit like tempting me to partake in heathen celebrations, if that helps. Also, I'll be making eggnog, and I'll have you know I make very good eggnog.
But if your mind's made up, I suppose there's nothing more I can do. Is it all right if I stop by tomorrow?
Your friend,
Aziraphale
All evidence to the contrary, he was not planning to give up. He wouldn't force Crowley, but, well, he was an angel, even if he was a cynical one. They may not have known exactly which night Christmas was on here, but he'd feel terribly leaving his best friend alone on the night everyone was celebrating. It just wasn't done.

Date: 2006-12-19 07:35 pm (UTC)Right. A holiday party. Hosted by an angel. As near to December 25th as we can figure.
I should be around.

Date: 2006-12-19 08:51 pm (UTC)You know as well as I do December 25th was a completely arbitrary date, anyway.

Date: 2006-12-23 10:50 pm (UTC)My intention wasn't to offend you, Crowley. Do you honestly think I could have not invited you? As I said, you needn't come if you don't want to. But I will miss you.

Reposted for the downright lie
Date: 2006-12-19 02:13 pm (UTC)Oh boy! I love parties! I'll be there for sure! Do you need anything? Will there be entertainment? What kind of party is this? I hope it's not one of those stuffy parties, but I hope lots of people will be there. Will lots of people be there? I know I will be!
-Tasslehoff Burrfoot
Because Alice learnt it was rude to leave questions unanswered
Date: 2006-12-20 06:18 pm (UTC)I do believe there is nothing we urgently require, but if you desire to bring food or drink of some sort you are quite welcome to.
It is a Christmas party. Entertainment will mostly consist of speaking with the other residents here,
though carol singing is not out of the question. The reception so far has been very good. I do believe a great many people will be there, if the number of those who have replied is anything to go by.
I look forward to seeing you at the party,
Yours sincerely,
Alice Liddell

Date: 2006-12-19 09:03 pm (UTC)Wah! Why are people sending her letters in English all ready?
Still, she recognizes the name at least.
Fell-san,
Please forgive me, I didn't understand most of that. (Drawn here is a picture of sheepish looking puppy)

Date: 2006-12-22 04:24 am (UTC)Err, why do you ask that? It's just that something came up. I'm sorry. I'll still go visit you, if you'd like.
- Setsuna
Along with the note is a black cat plushie, with a tag that says, "Merry Christmas."
The last thing Setsuna had wanted was to worry Alice, that's why he had tried to be as cheerful as possible in the last letter. Of course...excuses were hard to come by in Disneyland. It's not like he could just say, "My aunt died. Please let me tend to her funeral," or something along those lines.

Date: 2006-12-23 07:27 pm (UTC)I'd be glad to attend. It sounds like a good way to meet new people. Yourselves included.
Thanks for the invite, it was a nice surprise.
-Hiruma Youichi
Needless to say, Hiruma can seem much more wholesome in a letter. Not that he'd lied about anything in the letter, it just... came across a bit differently, perhaps, when not accompanied by a sharp and too-wide grin.
Hehe, forgot to do this before... oh yeah, I have TWO characters now, lol...
Date: 2006-12-25 11:56 pm (UTC)Mr. Fell and Miss Liddell,
I thank you for your invitation. I would be honored to attend your celebration.

*((Because no one has explained the mail thing to Aragon, and I don't think he'd get it on his own. I imagine he probably had a hard time figuring out pens, too… :D ))
