Kitty had mixed feelings about today, and was very conflicted as to who she was supposed to be distributing cards. She was also rather disturbed as to how whoever had left these cards knew her favourite song. The song which she always finished on, and the one which, ironically enough, had a special place in her heart.

But, she supposed she was supposed to be in the spirit of things, so after studying the sugary hearts for a moment or two, she resolved to send all the people appropriate a card. Which meant, oddly enough, in this role (although the act was getting tiresome), she sent them out to all the women, or people she presumed were women in the park.

After getting settled above the Penny Arcade, finding Main Street homely, but also alien; Like it was from her time, but a skewed version of her time, born out of imagination rather than reality and it was slightly alien to her, but not as much as the rest of the park. She decided it was time to write some letters to the people who had met her at the gate, especially Sir Percy and Mr Strange. It was only polite to renew their acquaintance. Not to mention, she was feeling rather lost and isolated in the park. So, she went and found some postcards and started writing on the back of them, hoping they'd get to their intended destination, even if she wasn't sure how this worked.

Kitty had been sitting, smoking at her dressing table, waiting for her turn to head onto the stage. She hadn’t been there for rather a long time, but she had missed it, and persuaded Walter to help her get back into her original show. Not the one she did with Nan, and certainly not the strange one she had done with Walter, after hearing how Nan couldn’t watch it the one time she had snuck in to watch.

She got to her feet, smoothed off her evening jacket, put her top hat at a slightly jaunty angle, checked her basic stage makeup a final time and did up her waistcoat. Her name was called, she picked her cigarette up from the ashtray with one gloved hand and then her cane with the other before heading to the door. Upon opening it, she found herself in an entirely different environment to the stuffy backstage corridors of the Palace in Canterbury. There was a mouse and she suddenly felt intimidated, like she had been thrown in a strange world, where she knew nobody and nobody would understand why she was wearing a suit if she tried to explain. Someone was playing games. The mouse was talking.

It only got worse from here )

((This is Kitty Butler from Sarah Waters' novel, Tipping the Velvet. I have notes on her being a woman pretending to be a bloke here, and that post is probably a tad more useful than her Profile. This is also Bernard/Duckula/Shaun, btw.))

On Christmas morning (or he thought it was Christmas day; there was no foolproof way to be sure,) Aziraphale rose early. First he took care of the household matters--a long, slender box with Crowley's name on it beneath the tree, and two stockings by the fireplace, one black and one red and green tartan.

Then he went out to the balcony of Club 33 one more time with Cayce's census list in hand... )

((Backdated to the day after Shizuka's arrival.))

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday I found a castle with a bed inside in Fantasyland. Does anyone know if the bed or the castle is currently being used by anyone? If it's yours, please tell me! I would like to stay there but I don't want to encroach on anybody else's space.

Thank you in advance,

Kawai Shizuka

An aged man comes tottering up to the gates, dressed in battered leather armor and carrying a slightly bent lance from which flies a shabby pennant. His white-bearded face, clearly designed for scholarly gentleness and dignity, has somehow acquired an expression of fanatical confusion. A sword hangs off-kilter at his side, and upon his head is draped a grimy dishcloth beneath an inverted bronze shaving basin.

His rheumy old eyes are fixed on the spires of Sleeping Beauty's castle as though he is witnessing a long-awaited miracle.

Mickey coughs theatrically. 'What is your name?'... )

Cayce glared at her notes.

She'd gotten sloppy, she realized; she hadn't been keeping up with the new arrivals nearly as well as she should, and she hadn't updated the park census in forever. Which meant it was time to do this the easy way.

So a large sheet of paper went up on the park bulletin board.

Hi everyone.

As some of you know, I've been keeping track of the population of the park, just so that we know who's here and where we can find them. I need to update my records, so please put your name and where you live on this sheet.

Also, if there is anyone you know of who is missing you haven't seen in a while, mail me privately.

Thanks for your help,
Cayce Pollard

Jo Mr. Strange,

Just wondering where you ended up and if you’ve settled in alright.

Sam Winchester

The Winchester looked as though it was scrawled in as an afterthought without the benefit of a flat surface to write on. Sam had, in fact, used his palm as a writing surface right before he sent the letter.

((I know I have talked about apping so many characters, and it says something about me, I guess, that number six isn't any of the ones on my former list. I'm so sorry, I swear I had wanted to pick another girl. But I made the mistake of reading a wonderful book over spring break and this gentleman seized me like a plague. I blame him. He blames the Raven King. It is a dreadful mess.))

If any person happens to observe the main gate in this fateful moment, they will undoubtedly see a tall and slender man appear quite suddenly. Despite his own obvious confusion at the current situation, he cannot quite seem to banish the ironic expression on his face any more than he can banish his long nose and reddish brown hair.

Here, he is quite unknown. However, had you been walking down the street in London perhaps, around 1815, no one would have hesitated to tell you truth; he is the Second Greatest Magician of the Age (or First, depending on who you spoke to).

It should be pointed out that there are only two magicians during this age at all.

The rain made a door for me and I went through it... )

((Say hello to Jonathan Strange from Susanna Clarke's novel Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Strange has been taken from the middle of chapter 54 in the book. Spoilers will occur for anything up to that point eventually, but there aren't many juicy spoilers in the app itself. Drop by and say hello, you'll find he is a most charming fellow. ;D))
