mood: joyful

On Christmas morning (or he thought it was Christmas day; there was no foolproof way to be sure,) Aziraphale rose early. First he took care of the household matters--a long, slender box with Crowley's name on it beneath the tree, and two stockings by the fireplace, one black and one red and green tartan.

Then he went out to the balcony of Club 33 one more time with Cayce's census list in hand... )

((Everybody feel free to make up your own gift or totally ignore the whole thing XD))

((Closed RP for Cayce, Tony, and Control, and backdated to shortly after the last census.))

As promised, Cayce sent a note to Control when her latest census was complete.

He's only taking care of the room )

Cayce glared at her notes.

She'd gotten sloppy, she realized; she hadn't been keeping up with the new arrivals nearly as well as she should, and she hadn't updated the park census in forever. Which meant it was time to do this the easy way.

So a large sheet of paper went up on the park bulletin board.

Hi everyone.

As some of you know, I've been keeping track of the population of the park, just so that we know who's here and where we can find them. I need to update my records, so please put your name and where you live on this sheet.

Also, if there is anyone you know of who is missing you haven't seen in a while, mail me privately.

Thanks for your help,
Cayce Pollard

"I think a cup of coffee would be quite a pleasant thing to have at this time, Tony. And perhaps while we have it, or rather them, since there isn't currently a shortage of cups so we might as well both have our own, we could discuss such matters as where you might like to stay."

Per the wishes of his dual employers, Tony spent the first morning at his new job trying to find the hideout of KGB agent, code name: Boba Fett. In the end, this meant asking a scruffy looking young man with curly blond hair if he knew where Boba Fett lived and the boy directing him toward the Disney Gallery.

'That was quite simple,' he thought to himself as he fetched some instant coffee and walked to New Orleans Square. 'Everything does tend to go much more smoothly when people are honest and helpful, but if everyone were there'd be no need for spies. Although prying into others' affairs is only human, as Control has pointed out.'

Reaching the Gallery, Tony sat on the steps that led up to the second floor and settled in to wait. He'd never believed in hiding. That was confounded cheek. If you were going to spy on someone, you should do it in the open so that they knew they were under surveillance. It was only fair. And if the target asked him to move or he'd fetch a policeman, he would, just like the chap in the telephone kiosk opposite Control's office. Too bad he didn't have a telescupe...

It was yet another busy day at PPTH. House had just been given a new patient so, of course, Lisa Cuddy had been plagued with complaints about him. It was the cycle of things. Annoyed next of kin, annoyed doctors, annoyed Wilson (though really she couldn’t blame him). And then, of course, House felt the need to come in every chance he got to talk her out of putting him on clinic duty. He had three other doctors working for him. Two hours in the clinic wasn’t going to hurt the patient. And it wasn’t as if House saw his patient unless he had to anyway.

And then Cameron came into Lisa’s office around three in the afternoon, also complaining about House. Apparently the cane-wielding doctor wouldn’t accept that the patient had lupus. Though honestly, in this case, House was the one who should have been complaining. Of course it wasn’t lupus. If it had been, House wouldn’t have been given the case. Lupus was far too easy to diagnose. The case would have gone to another doctor. She told Dr. Cameron this, and had her get back to work.

Lisa took a group of student interns on a tour of the hospital, then went back to her office to find House there. He’d brought her a cup of coffee, which was sweet of him. But if anyone knew that House was never sweet unless he wanted something. Sure enough he came out with it. He wanted to do an upper endoscopic ultrasound on his patient, and that was just out of the question. The patient’s throat would collapse and he could die. Fifteen minutes passed by, full of comments about how Lisa’s cleavage was not fit for the workplace and how House had to learn the meaning of the word no. Lisa turned him out of her office.

The last thing she remembered before appearing in this amusement park was gathering her coat and locking her office to leave for the night.

((Please welcome Lisa Cuddy from the TV show House MD. Though...I can't promise she'll be similarly welcoming.))

A tall, slim man appears in the entrance plaza. He's wearing a conservative grey suit and the kind of wide, nondescript necktie that was popular in the 1980s. What little expression he has on his face can probably be described as faintly quizzical. But if this is where the agency sends him, this is where he will go. He's used to following orders.

Perhaps there might be a nice coffee involved? )

((Tony is a character from a series of ten sketches on the British program 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie'. He's taken from three months after the last sketch when he's been fired from his job and has spent the intervening time looking for work. But life is hard for an out-of-work spy and Tony doesn't seem to have any other job skills. I have permission from Control-mun to apply.))
