A couple of days after the Hachiko statue was finished, Cayce went off to see if she could find Sallah.  It seemed unlike him to offer help and then not follow through.

In Adventureland, she found Tarzan's Treehouse empty -- and no sign of anyone having been there for days.  She rode around the Jungle Cruise and even went through the Indiana Jones Adventure (twice; one had to make sure, after all).  And apart from the version of him that was on the video clip, there wasn't a sign of the man to be found.

Her exchange of letters with Setsuna on the subject of people leaving or going missing rankled, and so after some thought, she posted a large sheet of paper on the central bulletin board.

OFFICIAL DISNEYLAND CENSUS
PLEASE SIGN YOUR NAME TO THIS NOTICE.

If you don't sign your name, we'll assume something has happened to you.
And if it turns out you're here after all,
we'll ... beat you with wet noodles. Or something.

P.S. Some wiseasses people are wondering what this is for.
Short version: there's a couple of people here that can't be found,
and plus I don't think there's ever been an official list of who's here.

"Names," Fay told her. "Names of people. Fay," he said, pointing to the cat picture and Mokona's writing underneath, "Kuro-daddy, and Mokona. Ano." He handed the pen back to Mokona and asked, "Mokona, could you write Chii's name on here as well?"

"Thank you, Mokona!" Fay kissed Mokona's head and put his arm around Chii. "Family," he said quietly, smiling at the list.

"Chii~!" As she still didn't know how to say thank-you, or when to, for that matter, Chii snuggled against Mokona. It was okay to snuggle Mokona, because Mokona was family.

Mokona snuggled Chii back. Simply because it was Mokona, and Mokona liked snuggling.
