It had been an unnatural day. Not only long, but trying in every sense of the word.
Marguerite managed to find an empty bench and thought it as good as any for a little rest. She had no place of her own to go to, and no doubt in her mind Percy would turn her away. After moving about to get comfortable she finally managed to lay her head on her puff of skirts. The un-abiding light, however, seemed to make dozing off for a short while an unbelievably difficult task to do. Finally able to set her fan up enough to block some light, she found herself dozing off.

Date: 2008-05-08 07:30 pm (UTC)"I see. Firstly, thank you for actually talking about it. I...I would hasten to talk about my time, and my role in it, so easily." Probably because he screwed it up royally in places. "And...I, well, all I can ask you now, I suppose, is where you fit into the whole...period. If you don't mind, I'm just curious, as it is not often one gets a first hand account of these things." He pauses and looks up, "I think, the next place on this side is empty."

Date: 2008-05-08 09:59 pm (UTC)Pushing those thoughts aside she turned to her companion, "If you mean what year is it, then when I left it was 1792. I'm not sure what is know about what happened," she explained looking at him. "So I'm not sure what happened, happens? Well, in any case, there is someone called The Scarlet Pimpernel. He seems to be ruining many of the French plans. He saved someone very dear to me in fact," she smiled at the memory of Suzanne.
"Oh? Shall we look then?"

Date: 2008-05-08 10:13 pm (UTC)He realised he'd been lost slightly in his own thought and confusion, "It must be rather difficult for one man to ruin so many people's will." He was trying to be diplomatic, whilst he was trying to figure this out, "I can tell you, though, it is the French people that guillotine Robespierre and put an end to it."
"Anyway, we should have a look, yes." He turned into what he had correctly assumed was an empty shop, "We should find a way upstairs, somewhere."

Date: 2008-05-08 10:22 pm (UTC)"Well, no one is sure who but it seems that whoever the Scarlet Pimpernel is, that he has help. I think it daring honestly, the people he saved were families. As much as I loathe the aristocratic ways of life, I cannot hold a child responsible," she confessed. Children were wonderful, marvelous things, that she wished to have one day. "He does!?" Marguerite cried, her eyes going wide. She gave him a kiss on the cheek. "That is--oh la!" She cried happily.
"Is that the door, over there?" She asked looking around the empty place. "So to buildings just appear over night?"

Date: 2008-05-08 10:30 pm (UTC)"Possibly. And not really, there's just a lot more buildings than there are people, I suppose." He tried the door, and finding it open, held it for her.

Date: 2008-05-08 11:43 pm (UTC)"Oh, I see. Thank you," Marguerite smiled at him as he held the door and she lifted her skirt so she wouldn't trip on the stairs as she walked. Looking around she smiled, it was small, but cozy. "This could work," she smiled looking around.

Date: 2008-05-09 06:33 pm (UTC)"The North is occupied, to Orleans, when I left. By the Germans. Again." He sighed and cast his gaze elsewhere, hating having to tell her that.
