Dizzy Land

Elle was impressed with how quickly the power was back on in the park. And trying not to drip chocolate on her new Tinkerbell t-shirt.

"Last time I caused a blackout, it took them three days to get the power back on," she shared. "Whoever or whatever runs this place is pretty good."

"I wish we could know who that was, precisely," Sylar said, taking a lick around the edge of his cone. "I'd like to ask them what their ultimate goal is."

"Yeah, information is always good," Elle agreed, catching a drip with her tongue before it had a chance to fall on her shirt.

"Like who put us in the fountains," Sylar complained, taking a vicious bite of his cone. "Seriously. How lame is that as a security measure?" Because it certainly hadn't discouraged him after the first time, much. "And who that Crowley joker thinks he is."

"Well..." Elle wavered for a moment and then finally decided to come clean. "I can't use my powers in water without hurting myself."

Good to know. "Which explains you, and not me. Not that I want to be thrown into a cherry tree or a building by preference," he added hastily. Sylar looked up at the ceiling, and smiled. "Do you hear that, oh Park Police? I prefer the fountain to a cliff!" Lowering his voice he added, "You have to admit it's odd. Do you think they knew that about you?"

"Maybe," Elle said with a shrug. "Or maybe they just figured dumping us in the fountain would cool us off."

At this point, Jenny throws open the door, looking around with a glare.

"Zane and Elle?" she asks. They're having ice cream, it doesn't look like a fight...

Katou's so ready for this. His claws out, and.. then he pauses. He really should have known. Why on earth would they be fighting in an ice cream parlor?

Sylar raised his eyebrows at the entrance of two more people, and the question from the blonde. He took his time swallowing his ice cream, then asked, "Who wants to know?"

"I do," Jenny replied, scowling. "And I'm not pissing about. Is this him?" she asked Cayce.

But she really didn't need to ask; she could feel the power the girl had. And 'who wants to know' wasn't what an innocent person said.

"Explain what happened tonight."

Elle frowned a little at the interruption.

"We had a... little disagreement and now we're having some ice cream."

"Do they have vanilla-chocolate swirl?" Katou asked from the door. Seeing Elle and Sylar eating theirs, Katou found that he quite suddenly wanted some.

Cayce, who'd been hanging back out of line of sight of the door, nodded, and began backing away. At least Jenny hadn't mentioned her name.

That had been intentional; Cayce didn't need to be made a target here. She shot a glare at Katou that said clearly 'stay on your guard,' and then slowly walked forward, giving Cayce enough time to get away.

"This was the sort of disagreement that causes park wide power outages?" she asked slowly.

Sylar looked from to her, to Katou, then licked his cone again, slowly, pointing at Elle. "She did it."

"It was an accident," Elle said defensively. "And they fixed it already."

From:

"I know," Jenny assured Elle. "But I'm curious, so humor me. He attack you?"

Jenny narrowed her eyes, and, still standing in front of the door, added "Cause I heard a bit about you, Zane Taylor. Seems you like roughing up young women. Whyzat? Gets you off?" she asked, with a quirk of her eyebrow indicating her distaste.

Sylar smirked a little. "And if it does?" Someone was spoiling for a fight. Interesting to see if the Park liked this blonde as well as it liked Elle. "I may have a larger purpose, but I certainly don't confide that information in strangers." He put a hand to his heart. "They might hurt me."

"Then it's my fault," Jenny said, "I should have introduced myself." She drew the electricity she could feel around her, charging up her body until electricity crackled from her fingertips and in her eyes. "Jenny Sparks. Professional pain in the arse. Now are you going to stop playing silly buggers or are we going to have even bigger problems? I don't like bastards who go around picking on people who can't fight back."

Katou sighed, and ran his hand through his hair. There went his ice cream.

"Katou," he said, leaning against the door frame and lighting a smoke, and watching Jenny. "What she said, I guess..."

Sylar tilted his head, some of the joviality slipping away, and eyed Jenny speculatively a moment while finishing his ice cream. Getting to his feet, he glanced at Katou. "And what nifty surprises are you hiding, then?"

"I've got a spiffy arm," Katou said, holding it up and flashing the claws. He had other 'nifty surprises' but they were just that - surprises.

Elle stood up as well. She wasn't pleased about having her ice cream interrupted.

"Do we really need to do this?"

She may have forgotten that there was still a mark on her forehead where Sylar had tried to slice her open.
