Oct. 10th, 2006 02:29 am((FYI, the Katou/Setsuna fight happens after this to avoid inevitable absentees. And just because you didn't reply to the happy letter thread doesn't mean you can't come or still reply to it. XD; ))
Katou smiled as he gathered some chips and pop and the like from Disneyland and piled them into the Matterhorn ride. He had checked out the room that Sirius had decided upon earlier and all in all was quite pleased.
Upon deciding he had enough snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, he opened up a bottle of rootbeer, jumped into the ride, and headed up to the room to finish getting things ready and to wait for people to show up.

The Philip Glass and Steve Reich were probably right out, but hopefully the rest would do.
((Re: Cayce's extensive music collection. If it was released before Nov. 2004 and is not country & western, easy listening, gangsta rap, or crappy Top 40 stuff, there's a chance she may have it. The chance is increased if it's minimalist classical, New Wave, David Bowie, punk/post-punk, or pop in the Belle and Sebastian or Magnetic Fields mold. We have also determined that she has the Rolling Stones's singles collection Hot Rocks. XD))

Date: 2006-10-10 10:44 pm (UTC)The drifting notes of a pop song helped her find her way to the room. Beaming, she looked for a place to set things down. "A music-player! Oh, hello, Katou, how are you? I hope cake is tasty-and-unnutritious enough?"
*They were meant for parties, weren't they? It was right there in the name. Clearly, if you could add an extra bit of ceremony to festivities, you did.**
**Though she had at least grasped that sacrifices and libations had gone out of fashion several centuries ago.

Sirius had never been good at poker-- his clever mind mastered the rules and strategy nearly instantly, but he had the worst poker face imaginable. He was known for actually doing a victory dance from time to time when he got a good hand. But while he didn't like to lose too much money, clothing was overrated, anyway.

He's never been bold, after all; he isn't about to start being so now.

Date: 2006-10-11 04:42 pm (UTC)There, he put his clothes back on - he was wearing the same number of layers he always wore, despite Katou's warning - and called six bottles of various kinds of alcohol to hand. When he was comfortable that his preparations were complete, Crowley ducked inside the party and made a skeptical face.
"I thought we were playing poker, not attending a child's birthday party." He'd actually been to one not long ago and it hadn't turned out well. If Aziraphale showed up and tried doing magic tricks, he was out of here.
((BTW, all, the Disneyland party hats (http://albums.mouseplanet.com/DLPlazaInnProcessed/patecake.jpg) have mouse ears on the side of them. :D))

Date: 2006-10-11 05:42 pm (UTC)He cleared off a wide space on the table for the alcohol, and then walked over to his dresser drawers. He'd been down to the various shops for provisions, and had been amused to find that many of the stores sold shot glasses. He might not have had any alcohol, but that didn't stop him from picking up a wide variety. He opened the drawer he'd put them in, and began to set them up on the table.
((Feel free to make up what's on your glass. Disneyland does indeed sell shot glasses, but apparently they're classified as 'toothpick holders,' so you can search for Disneyland toothpick holders to see the various prints. There's an Indiana Jones one with Sallah's name on it, I think. *eg*))

Date: 2006-10-11 06:11 pm (UTC)In the end, Alice climbs up the roller coaster's tracks and jumps the drops. When some kind of monster - clockwork, or something like it - growls at her, she jumps off to attack it. As she does so, she notices a ladder, and decides the monster must be some kind of guard Sirius magicked into existence to be his guard.
She enters the room and looks around. "What kind of party is this?" she wonders aloud. But then, as one should not be rude to one's hosts, "It's very... bright."
