Crowley awoke, not in his comfortable bed inside Club 33, but disoriented and hung over on a bench in front of the castle, an empty bottle of rum still clutched in one hand, mouth fuzzy, and head pounding.
"Ngk."
He brought up the other hand to guard his bleary, uncovered eyes from the glaring sun. It took him a moment to realize that there was a great deal more frilly sleeve around his wrist than there should be. After a perfectly still moment, Crowley ever so cautiously moved his hand down slightly to discover a mustache and double braided beard.
"Bugger."
It wasn't what he meant to say.

Date: 2007-09-19 05:11 pm (UTC)Pippi wondered at first who Elizabeth was but then concluded that if nobody else who could possibly be named Elizabeth was around so that must be her.
She certainly didn't mind being called Elizabeth, it was such a pretty name. And any gentleman so piratical as this must certainly know what he's talking about. Why, he was almost as piratical as Grandfather Fabe!

"Come, Elizabeth, me beauty. There's freedom to be seized."

"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me..."

Date: 2007-09-20 10:02 pm (UTC)Sam was sitting on the bank of the Rivers of America, not far from the Mark Twain's dock. He looked up when he heard the singing and the moment he caught sight of the red-haired little girl he jumped up with a shout of "Elizabeth!" and ran to her.
Which was weird, because he'd never met the girl before, but somehow he suddenly felt like she was the most important person in the whole world.

Date: 2007-09-20 10:40 pm (UTC)"Will, me lad!" cried Crowley with a return of that fuzzy feeling he had when he'd first seen Elizabeth; like a thirsty man looking at a full bottle of rum. Odd that... Even stranger were the wide arm-movements he was making - sort of an awkward changing of arms outflung for a hug to a 'look, here's the world' kind of gesture as the object of the hug runs past.
"Thought you might be here."

"Jack!" his mouth said, in a tone strangely mixed with suspicion, happiness, and a touch of hero worship. And suddenly he realized who the guy was.
He’d only seen the first movie with Jess, but even if he hadn’t he’d certainly have recognized Johnny Depp’s distinctive character. But he’d called the girl Elizabeth which meant…
His hand slid, a little possessively, around ‘Elizabeth’s’ shoulders, which was awkward because she was short and he hand to bend over a little to do it. He nodded at Jack in a manly fusion. “How’ve you been?”

Another odd gesture, encompassing... everything, apparently.
"And here you are with your bonnie lass. And here I am not with my ship. So we are all men who either do or do not have what it is that we want, apart from Elizabeth, of course, who is in fact, a woman. Savvy?"

Date: 2007-09-27 02:34 pm (UTC)Why did he get stuck as the Orlando Bloom character?
Inwardly Sam did find Jack’s words amusing, but him-as-Will was unable to really follow the pirate’s convoluted speech, and started to get a little glassy-eyed. ‘Will’ wasn’t very smart, apparently.
“Where is the Pearl, then, Jack? And your crew?” he asked, with a hint of ‘you lost it already?’ in his tone. To Elizabeth he said, “Hello Elizabeth, it’s good to see you,” and was vaguely disturbed by the tone he’d taken toward a nine year old girl.

Date: 2007-09-27 05:52 pm (UTC)While the banter between "Jack" and "Will" was raging, somewhere in the back of Pippi's brain something stirred and tried to convince her she was a pirate named Elizabeth... This turned out to be completely unnecessary. Never before was a person more certain that they were already a pirate thank you very much. It didn't matter what people called her. Whoever this other pirate gal was she'd have to wait her turn because she was here first. So neyah.
Once she was done with that boring train of thought she gave Will a hug.
"It's good to see you too!" she said as if she had missed him ever so much, if she'd ever met him before that is.

Date: 2007-09-27 06:00 pm (UTC)"That was the very subject I'd intended to bring up with you, Will, me boy. Were you or were you not at the wheel last?"
Feeling a stirring of something uncomfortably like jealousy - not a common occurrence in the demon's life thus far - he leaned down to stage whisper to Elizabeth.
"I shouldn't get too close, luv. Nothin' to get excited about." And he made a 'snip, snip' sort of hand gesture with a hard look at the front of Sam's trousers. This was also entirely inappropriate for a nine-year-old or anyone else, really.
*dies laughing*
Date: 2007-09-29 04:01 pm (UTC)Or possibly because Sam was an emo pretty boy"I was not," Sam answered, a bit flustered by how his voice seemed to have gotten lower and gruffer since the conversation started. He got even more flustered at the old 'eunich' gag, but Will was only vaguely bemused. "Maybe we should go find her," he suggested uncomfortably.

But they kept talking about a 'Pearl'... Hadn't Susan said something about a 'Pearl'?
"Isn't Pearl in Tomorrowland?" she asked the two of them.
