Closed to Kira and Setsuna

Setsuna really had no idea when a half an hour was, so he just went right outside like Kira told him to as soon as he got Kira's last reply.

The whole suggestion of a talk was never a good one, so the kid was on edge, no matter what Kira said. Hands in his pockets, he glowered at the world in general waiting for Kira to show up and explain whatever this was about.

Lost on how this pertained to the original conversation, Setsuna asked, bluntly, "Why are you telling me this?" then quickly backtracked to add, "I mean, it's nice and all, but if you just called me out here to say that it's not necessary. I'm not worried what you think of us. I know you're okay with things. You've said it before, and I believed you."

"There's nothing to vent about," Setsuna said, flatly. What could he say? He couldn't claim Kira as his. And he didn't know exactly what Kira wanted.... If Kira wanted to move on, somehow Setsuna felt that would make things easier. He could easily get behind that and support Kira with whomever made the elder teen happy. But clearly it wasn't meant to be that simple.

Well, damn. But he was trying so hard to fool Kira from the get-go. Fuck it.

"There isn't anything to vent about, though," Setsuna insisted. There wasn't.

As for Kira's Disneyland crack, Setsuna finally smiled and let himself get lost in that, leaving his worries behind for a moment.

"Your dad never took you? With all his money and stuff I'd think he would.... Oh, but then you would have just been a brat and stayed inside the whole time you guys were there, huh?"

"Damn," Setsuna muttered. What followed was a sigh, then a not so serious, but maybe slightly serious, question of, "How did that man not beat the hell out of you at least once? He really should be given saint hood when he dies. I mean that."

Setsuna tried, very hard, to imagine the elder Kira losing his temper, but it just made his brain break. Well, okay, he had heard him yelling with Kira on occasion, but the man still seemed very even tempered.

Catching Kira's expression, Setsuna leaned against him and softly said, "You really didn't understand what you were getting into, did you, Senpai? You're very lovable, anyhow."

Setsuna leaned into Kira's touch, enjoying the affection like a cat might.

"Do you understand better now what kind of love that is? How strong it is?" Setsuna ventured to ask. Even if he couldn't convince Kira to stop trying something so foolish, he could find out if Kira understood.... And they could keep being idiots together.

"What? How could I tell anyone that without explaining what you are first?" Setsuna asked with a laugh. "I think your secret is pretty damn safe with me."

Setsuna seemed to enjoy the petting, for a moment, and he was, but he found himself feeling winded. Well...Duzell had told him to take it easy the first couple of days, and it here was only one after, and he was taking this long walk with Kira.

"Senpai...can we rest for a bit?" Setsuna asked suddenly. He didn't care if it was like him or not, he wanted to sit down for a moment and get some juice. Or doughnuts. Or Ice cream. Anything with sugar in it might be nice.

"Of course I'm okay," Setsuna said like it was the most ridiculous thing ever, and besides, he was fine. As for where to sit...thankfully they were near one of the many restaurants with outside seating, so Setsuna pointed to it.

"That'll do for seating. And a fruit juice would be nice. Apple?" Well, if Kira was so eager to get him something, might as well let him, right?

But also, Setsuna knew he needed to settle Kira's concern, and now. He still wasn't accustomed to Kira worrying about him so much, but Setsuna would also admit some of his actions over the past few months probably hadn't helped keep Kira to stop fretting over him.

Setsuna had leaned back, comfortably, then took the apple juice with a quick, "Thanks," when Kira brought it over. He laughed when Kira felt his forehead -- which was perfectly normal -- and asked, "Senpai, why are you freaking out? I'm just a little tired, that's all."

But he was lying, and he knew it, and he was afraid Kira knew it too. Oh, not that it was anything to make a fuss over, and some part of Setsuna knew he might have to tell Kira eventually what was going on, but he didn't think now was the time to say.

"Nah, nah. Apple juice is fine," Setsuna assured Kira, content with that. He could tell from Kira's questioning, though, that Kira didn't fully believe he was being honest.

Unable to look Kira in the eye, Setsuna just didn't bother responding to the question and drank the juice, hoping that Kira wouldn't think much of it. Maybe there was something else to talk about.

The second Setsuna finished his drink, he said, "So Cayce is also considering we might be fictional (http://community.livejournal.com/dizzy_land/147069.html?thread=8646269#t8646269) due to outstanding evidence. What do you think?" After speaking, though, the kid groggily leaned his elbows on his knees and tried his best to breathe normally.

It wasn't too labored, and Setsuna managed to set it right, then he took another swig of apple juice.

"Nothing's wrong. I'm fine," Setsuna insisted, because he was okay, just tired. "I need a nap, that's all," the teen added, hoping that would calm Kira down.

he had smiled to help ease Kira's fears, but once Kira mentioned a collaborated effort, Setsuna frowned. "That...who could or would collaborate something like that? It's freaky.... Cayce mentioned an Author Elite. Think it's anything like that? And can we find this Author Elite and make them send us home?" Naturally -- everything had to go back to that at some point or another.

"Well, I didn't know what to think of that Devil guy. He seemed okay.... I finally figured we're all fictional though, because Pikachu showed up." Setsuna wasn't sure why that was the turning point, but it seemed a good thing to bring up and distract Kira with.
