Pikachu’s in a good mood. He likes travelling; maybe because Ash does, and if Ash is happy, Pikachu usually is too. He’s glad his trainer has gotten over the whole losing in the Pokémon League thing and has his usual spirit back, so off they go, on another adventure! Who knows what lies ahead? Who they’ll meet, what will happen, the things they’ll see, the places they’ll go…

… Which seem to be a pair of gates leading to a large amusement park type-place right now. Pikachu stops walking, blinks, and looks around for Ash. “Chu?” he asks, head on one side, one ear at an angle.

Pika-pika! )

((Oh, come on, you gotta know who this little guy is. Pikachu, from the very famous/infamous anime programme Pokémon. Taken from before the Orange Islands arc, so what you’ve got here is your classic first generation Ash’s Pikachu))

It was sometime quite late at night -- possibly around midnight, if such a thing were measurable. All was quiet. Except...

If one were to follow the odd, rhythmic sound to its source, one would find Susan Sto Helit sitting on a bench outside the First Aid station, bouncing a red rubber ball off a nearby wall. As with most things that she did, she tossed and caught it with unerring accuracy every time.

It wasn't insomnia, she told herself; it was a sort of intellectual restlessness, brought on by the general calm of the place and the general lack of world-ending crises. For which she was welcome, but sometimes one found oneself not at all tired, uninterested in reading, but too alert to sleep. She didn't want to go too far, what with Calvin sleeping nearby, so she simply went outside, with the ball that had somehow ended up at the station (probably Calvin's doing).

She wished, idly, for some owls or birds. Wind in the trees. Anything to make a sound, really. At times like this, she even missed the din of Ankh-Morpork.

((Open to anyone who might be wandering around the park in the small hours of the night.))

It had been a very long couple of weeks, or even months, since Yazoo had first arrived. Mostly, it had been spent healing his own wounds - it had been... disconcerting, how quickly they had closed up, but he put it down to the overdose of materia still doubtless boiling in his bloodstream - and making sure Kadaj didn't know how badly he had been injured. He was good at that.

And to make matters worse, the younger boy had somehow gotten a cold. The last few weeks had mostly alternated between tantrums that he wasn't sick, and melodramatic episodes that why couldn't he just die again already, if this wasn't the Lifestream then he could go there and end his pain.

Needless to say, Yazoo had encountered the park's no-kill policy at least once by now. He got very annoyed very easily and was very good at restaint up to a point.

And Kadaj was very good at being that point.

He needed to get away. )

((Yus, I is back. Semi-open RP, mostly Hiruma and Yazoo, but feel free to come along if you feel like being shot at.))

A noise like that of a distant explosion echoes through the void, and with a brief, huge flash of ghostly white flame, almost like something gone nucleur, a figure dressed all in black is throw violently to the ground, body skidding a few feet before coming to rest.

...would I lie to you? Well I've got something to say... )

((Yazoo, of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children fame. Taken almost post-mortem, so he’s a little disorientated. And yes, I’m perfectly aware his little brother Kadaj is around here somewhere…we’ve been planning this for weeks, while him and Axel have been getting cozy >D))
