Application for Kadaj (FF:AC)
Mar. 15th, 2007 06:35 amKadaj did not expect to open his eyes again. Or, if he did, he expected to see... another place. Not here. Wherever here was...
Another place. And a face, maybe. A face to match a voice...
Instead he sees sky. He sits up, making the sort of normal little "Mm," noise that comes with such an action, placing one hand to his head to steady the Planet. "Mother...?" he murmurs quietly, then scrambles up, getting to his feet and looking about wildly. "Mother!"
Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"
Kadaj is halfway towards reaching for his weapon by the time he finishes spinning around, but pauses when he sees that the figure addressing him is a short, smiling... thing. It's certainly not a monster or a summon, it's far too unthreatening for that. He straightens up from the defensive position he'd been getting into, looking at the creature curiously.
"My name," he repeats. "Kadaj. Is Mother here?" The added question sounds hopeful, young, and he seems almost childish all of a sudden. Not that he thinks she is, this obviously isn't the Lifestream, and she would have been here by now if she was here.
But I heard her voice...
"What is your quest?" asks the Cat. It's perched, suddenly, on the roof of one of the gate-stiles.
"To find Mother," he replies immediately. He turns to look at the cat, tilting his head in confusion at this one too. Strange creatures... is this some kind of an illusion? "My brothers and I, we are going to create a new Reunion! And the entire Planet will feel the repercussions."
"'What is the average w..?'" Mickey frowns down at the notebook. "You know, I don't really see why that's important." He flips a page. "'If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?'"
He looks down and smiles, hair falling into his face. "To find Mother, Yazoo and Loz," he says. "That's three."
"Or," the Cat says, examining its tail with interest, "if you were a genie and someone you were trying to give three wishes to was trying to trick you into giving him more, what would you say?"
Kadaj looks up again, frowning. "Why would I give him wishes?"
Mickey looks rather nonplused at the next, but reads, "'When the revolution comes, what skills will you be able to barter for food?'"
"I have Souba." Kadaj draws his katana, a sleek sword with two blades, lined up side by side. "I'm skilled. I can also fire a gun," from what practice he could get with Yazoo's Velvet Nightmare, not that he'd ever had permission to do so.
"But I don't need to barter or buy anything! I can steal anything I need." He smiles. It's what he's done all his life anyway.
The Cat rolls its eyes in a friendly (and rather disconcertingly out-of-sync) way, and asks, "Milk, dark, or white chocolate?"
He puts away Souba. "I don't care," he says. He's not really interested in the questions anymore: he's looking at the two creatures again instead, trying to figure out what they could be. They might be the reason he's still alive, if he is... but then, where on the Planet is he?
"'Choose the two coolest: robots, pirates, fairies, bears, ninjas, monkeys, vampires, or humans,'" says Mickey, giggling a bit as he goes through the list. "'Explain.'"
Kadaj definitely hadn't been listening to that question, or at the very least he didn't care. "Where am I?" he demanded instead of answering.
"Great!" Mickey flips through the blank pages of the notebook at top, cartoon-y speed. "Well, I think that's just about it! Oh, and I'm supposed to ask, 'for your safety: are you carrying anything sharp?'"
"Souba," he repeats, "and I'll use it if you don't tell me what's going on!"
((Kadaj, from Final Fantasy: Advent Children! He's a little off-balance from being alive when he didn't expect to be, and especially from not finding Jenova--his "Mother." Feel free to come by and poke at him. He's actually not often saner than this.))

prettysilver head, seeing from those weird eyes that such an action would probably result in grevious bodily harm - for both parties.no subject

And the fact that he had just seen Demyx didn't help matters one bit.
