When Fay and Kurogane didn't show up for a day, Chii started to get worried - they'd never just left her before all night by herself - so the next morning, she decided the best thing to do was ask everyone else in the park, as they were always so helpful, after all~! And she felt she should let them know something, too, just in case. Chii, after all, wasn't oblivious to the people leaving thing, not after Mokona and Sakura.

Dear everyone,

Fay-mommy and Kuro-daddy have not come home yet, and I am concerned. If you see them, please let them know I am waiting for them to come back.

In the event they have disappeared like others, then I will keep the Cat's Eye cafe open until either they return, or just for the rest of you so you can have Fay-mommy's goodies, which I also know how to make.

Please be well, and come have baked goods whenever you want.

I am sorry to say I have not seen your parents, but I shall most certainly keep an eye out for them. In the meantime, try not to worry. You have many friends here in the park and you need never feel alone.

Fell-san,

I am very grateful for your kind words, even if you've not seen them. I am not worried, either. I am sure I will be well taken care of here, and Fay-mommy and Kuro-daddy are back where they belong. And maybe might come back one day.

Chii was, in fact, there, currently making muffins and looking a little down, but once she heard Kira's voice she perked up right away. "Chii~?!" Smiling, she dropped the spoon she was using for stirring and ran over to give Kira a hug in greeting.

"Kira-san~! Kira-san~! Did you come to have food? Chii.... I can make you something if you like? Anything?" Chii eagerly asked him, just happy for the company.

"Yes~! I do have sandwiches," Chii assured Kira happily as she walked over to an area with a few. "I have all types. What kind would you like?" As she had nothing else to do with her time, and was so lonely, Chii had spent it making food for other people in hopes they would come - if nothing else, it was something to do.

Chii looked a little lost for a moment as she admitted, "I do not know...." Being unable to eat was a huge drawback in cooking for her. She did point to one at the far left end and said, "But most people take that one."

She was delighted Kira liked the sandwich, and could give an easy smile once more. "I am glad Kira-san likes it. I have plenty more so Kira-san can eat as many as you like."

"Chii.... I have been doing okay. I make lots of food and it makes the time go by quickly," Chii told Kira, hoping that would make sure Kira didn't worry or feel bad on her behalf. She would be all right, and she was just happy to have company at the moment.

"Chii~!" she said with glee to the head pat. Then she had to ask, "What does Kira-san do all day?"

"Chii.... Smoke?" This was a new concept to Chii. "How do humans smoke? Isn't that bad? Doesn't it mean something is malfunctioning inside of you?"

There was still a lot of confusion from this as Chii tilted her head and had to ask, "What's a cigarette? How does it relax you? Will it relax Chii?" It wouldn't...but she didn't know how all of this worked.

"Oh," Chii said with understand as she looked at the cigarette curiously. "What is it made out of?"

Chii thought this over with a puzzled, "Chii," while looking a the cigarette and converting it's appearance to memory. But then she remembered what Kira said earlier and, worried, asked, "But you said it was bad for humans. So if it is bad for them, how can they use it to relax?"

Chii looked up at Kira with a pained, confused look as she softly asked, "Why do they smoke if they get hurt?"

It was a lie, but a pretty, idealistic one, and Chii didn't know any better, nor did she need to know the truth. Her expression softened comfortably with relief when Kira told it to her. "Chii.... That is good. People should not hurt themselves. Hurting is bad."

Chii-chan,

I am sorry to hear Fay and Kurogane have gone missing. Are you going to be all right? If you need to talk about it, don't hesitate to write back or come to the Winnie the Pooh ride. I have lost someone, too. It's not the same as losing a parent, though, I imagine. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

Rukia-san,

Rukia-san has also lost someone? I did not know.... Chii.... I will make you many things and send them over. What does Rukia-san like to eat that is sweet? I can also make sandwiches, for they are easy and simple. And pancakes. There are many things I need to learn, though, and Fay-mommy is not here to teach me. Perhaps Fell-san will have a book on cooking so I can learn lots more. I will ask.

I will be good, because everyone here is so very nice. If Rukia-san wants to come here, too, you are welcome at any time.

You're right, this place is safe. Just so you know, though, if you ever need any help, my friend James lives at the Aladdin Oasis, which is very near you. He's a dad and pretty smart, so he'd be good to talk to if you need someone like that.
