Application: Elle Bishop (Heroes)
Jan. 28th, 2008 10:17 amElle blinks a few times, confused by her surroundings. The last thing she remembers is leaving Isaac Mendez's loft, having saved that cute Dr. Suresh and those girls from Sylar. She hadn't really wanted to go back to the facility and face her father and spent a little time wandering aimlessly through the streets of New York.
But apparently she took a wrong turn at Albequerque because she has no idea where she is right now.
Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"
The voices startles her and she takes a moment to process what she's seeing before she replies, in a small voice, "Elle Bishop."
"What is your quest?" asks the Cat. It's perched, suddenly, on the roof of one of the gate-stiles.
Does she even have a quest? She's not sure. But she realizes she needs to come up with something. "Um... to prove my worth to my father." That sounds as good as anything.
"'What is the average w..?'" Mickey frowns down at the notebook. "You know, I don't really see why that's important." He flips a page. "'If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?'"
Elle has a lot more than three wishes, so she takes a moment to consider her options and narrow it down to the three best. "I wish my father would let me move into my own apartment," she says. Because what she really wants more than anything is freedom. "I wish that Peter hadn't run away." Because he was really cute. And if she's getting some privacy, she has ideas on how to make use of it. She hesitates before admitting her third wish. "I wish I knew the truth about what my father has done to me."
"Or," the Cat says, examining its tail with interest, "if you were a genie and someone you were trying to give three wishes to was trying to trick you into giving him more, what would you say?"
"I would tell them not to be greedy or I'd zap them," Elle says. It's possibly a little disturbing that she doesn't need to think as much about that one.
Mickey looks rather nonplused at the next, but reads, "'When the revolution comes, what skills will you be able to barter for food?'"
Elle's eyes grow wide. "There's a revolution coming? I... I'm not sure if I have any skills to barter. Maybe protection or something? Unless someone can figure out a way to harness my electricity to power things."
The Cat rolls its eyes in a friendly (and rather disconcertingly out-of-sync) way, and asks, "Milk, dark, or white chocolate?"
"Any chocolate is totally fine with me," Elle says. "But I only get that as a special treat."
"'Choose the two coolest: robots, pirates, fairies, bears, ninjas, monkeys, vampires, or humans,'" says Mickey, giggling a bit as he goes through the list. "'Explain.'"
"Fairies, definitely," Elle says. "I always wanted to be a fairy princess or have a fairy godmother. They are just the luckiest. And, uh... I guess monkeys. They are cute and cuddly."
"Great!" Mickey flips through the blank pages of the notebook at top, cartoon-y speed. "Well, I think that's just about it! Oh, and I'm supposed to ask, 'for your safety: are you carrying anything sharp?'"
Elle pats her pockets. "No, nothing sharp. Just my inate abilities." She lifts her hand, concentrates for a moment and creates a ball of electricity, which she bounces a few times.
((Elle Bishop is from Heroes and is being taken post Series 2; She has the ability to generate electricity, is a diagnosed sociopath and sadist, and suffers a distinct lack of social skills due to being hidden away from society for the majority of her life. Yes, Sylar-mun knows about my app :) I'm a new player and very excited about this opportunity!))

Date: 2008-01-28 05:51 pm (UTC)Thus it was that a blond young man looking something like a greek god, albeit one in an old t-shirt and battered jeans approached her, smiled, and said, "Hullo, Elle. I'm Adam."

"Now, I'm fairly certain a talent like that could win you a great sum of money on some sort of reality television show," he commented offhandedly on his approach.

Date: 2008-01-28 10:40 pm (UTC)He pulled a white paper bag from his pocket, pulled something bright yellow from it, and popped it into his mouth. "Unfortunately, no prize money has been handed out, so I'd say we're all getting gypped and should find a way to break our contracts." He held the bag out to her. "Jelly baby?"

Either way: "...Hi."
