It's about time for us to set up. Would you mind getting Fay and Kurogane out like we talked about?

((Everything is still setting up, but feel free to come by and join the setting up party! The plan is to have some people waiting in the Cat's Eye for when Fay gets home, and then the others can kidnap Kurogane when the time is right.))

ETA: James and Sirius have set up, so have your chars come by. :D

Kurogane twitched slightly at the song. God, the ride had been bad enough, he would never have let either of them talk him into going on it (...somehow) if he'd known--and now they just kept going and making it worse. This idiotic song was gonna be stuck in his head for the next week, he just knew it.

He grumbled a bit, but barring the last ride... things hadn't been bad. The girl was obviously excited about the things she'd learned, and she was almost mind-numbingly adorable about everything. Not that Kurogane would say this. As a rule, he didn't like sweet things, but some people seemed to be firm exceptions.

"Yeah," he said in response. "You've picked up a lot, kid."

"The tour was excellent, Chii," Fay gushed, picking the girl up to spin her around and nuzzling her nose. "You've learnt so much! Clever, good Chii~." He looked back at Kurogane and gave him a small, praising, thankful smile for putting up with the rides and not destroying anything.

He opened the door of the Cat's Eye and blinked. There were... a lot of people in there.

"Chii~!" She was so happy with their praise, and snuggled against Fay in return.

Once she was down and the door was open, though, Chii once again gave a, "CHII~!" and smiled brightly at Fay and Kurogane. "It is a surprise~!"

"......."

Kurogane's response was a stare. A surprise? That Chii had been in on, but the mage obviously hadn't, which is what had him more confused and less pissed. "... What the hell's going on?"

"It's your stag parties," Sirius explained, slightly tipsyly handing Fay and Kurogane a drink each. "It's traditional before a wedding. Also traditional, separate parties for bride and groom. Oi, James, get over here!" he called.

Fay took the drink hastily, trying not to let it spill. "Parties? Sirius-san, you've been keeping secrets from us~!" He giggled and took a sip - and it wasn't bad alcohol at all - but the second part of the sentence sunk in. "Separate? Are you sure that's necessary?"

"Of course it's necessary!" said James, coming over to them. He hadn't met either Fay nor Kurogane, but that didn't much matter. "It's supposed to indicate your last moments of singlehood! Really, stag parties are the best part of a marriage!"

"That's right," Sirius said. "Don't worry," he added, nodding at Fay. "James and I will take good care of him. Now, let's go!" he announced to Kurogane.

Kurogane raised an eyebrow at them, not seeming inclined to move anywhere yet. "And where exactly are we supposed to be going?" It wasn't like he and the mage needed to be attached at the hip, but he still didn't see the point of two seperate parties, especially if the only reason for them was some stupid metaphor.

Fay fidgeted somewhat, shifting uncomfortably. He really didn't think not being near Kurogane for the last night would be good. He had been having doubts ever since the invitations went up, and he was sure the last night would be the worst.

But... it was tradition. And traditions always had reasons.

So he leant up to kiss Kurogane on the cheek and chirped, "Well, all right. Take care of him and make sure he doesn't get too drunk!" To Kurogane, he murmured, "I love you."

"Wrong," Sirius said. "We're getting wasted. He looks like he can handle it. Now, let's go! You do not have a choice." He pointed towards the door.

James grinned, wrapping an arm around the ninja's shoulders (Which he might not have done if he was completely sober, seeing as Kurogane was not only taller than him, but looked pretty mean too), and began leading him towards the door as well.

"Don't forget!" he called to Fay, sure that Kurogane could hear him too, seeing as he was right beside him. "S'bad luck to see one another before the wedding now! We'll bring 'em back safe and sound for the wedding."
