[[Invitations here, party here. Backdated to yesterday.]]
Thankfully, the kid got over his slightly painful exchange with Katou rather quickly, especially in the face of a party and seeing everyone. He hadn't heard from Demyx, but the kid was holding out hope he'd show up anyway. Seeing the Starcade games on and going made the kid grin. The "DO NOT MAKE OUT HERE" sign on Cayce's office door only made him crack up. Fine, if he and Sara got caught making out anywhere else, and someone complained, he'd point out he wasn't making out in the office.
There were tables for refreshments on the upper level, along with tables for people to sit at with food and drink. He added some sodas he'd brought along to the refreshment table, then a couple of pizzas to another table, already feeling the giddy mood of celebrating for no reason enter his system.
His "duties" done, Setsuna went to the lower level and, instead of waiting by the door like a good host, the kid, impatiently, started to play one of the games.

Date: 2007-11-19 03:41 am (UTC)John's ability to understand Artoo was definitely on a young Luke Skywalker level; he sort of guessed and had an intuition about it. That was probably due to the fact that he'd had a similar friend on board Moya - the DRD that he had lovingly named 1812 (for Tchaikovsky's Overture).
John had brought a tray-like thing with some gears attached to the bottom. "I put this together from some ride parts to help you with the drink serving, little guy. Don't know if it'll work, though."

Date: 2007-11-19 03:46 am (UTC)To Artoo, Setsuna smiled apologetically, "Sorry I didn't get it. I do now, though."
The tray got stared at curiously while Setsuna tried to make sense of it -- not that it was difficult -- but then he waved it off with, "You're pretty damn handy with this stuff, John."

Date: 2007-11-19 04:03 am (UTC)Well, that looked like an affirmative from Artoo. "Fantastic. Let's get you situated, then." He had actually constructed the thing from what he remembered of the tray Artoo had been fitted with on Jabba's sail barge during Return of the Jedi. If it worked out, the tray could clamp onto some gears inside the droid's dome, and the tray itself would sit stop his... head, for lack of a better way of putting it. He turned to Setsuna. "Yeah, that's exactly how it should work. Hopefully it will."

Date: 2007-11-19 04:12 am (UTC)The whole fitting of the tray got Setsuna full focus as he observed, wide-eyed.

Date: 2007-11-19 06:10 am (UTC)The assembly for the tray only needed a little tweaking, so it was a win all things considered. He snapped and hooked in a few places, and pretty soon Artoo was good to go. "You look like a regular barkeep. The transformation is astounding." He gave the droid an "ok" sign.

Date: 2007-11-19 06:12 am (UTC)And, naturally, he spent the whole time talking watching the entire process, still fascinated. "I think it's cute. You'll do great, Artoo. Since John did all the work, I'll load you up, 'kay?" the kid asked, and started filling up glasses to put on the tray.

Date: 2007-11-19 06:49 am (UTC)"Lookin' good, Artoo. Just come back when you run out," Setsuna told him. He might be planning to walk around some, but he'd go back to the table every once in a while. ...Assuming he'd remember to.
