Virgil and Katou's Hot Date (Semi-Closed RP, Backdated to right after Katou gets settled)

Since Katou had friends in the park Virgil was sure he'd want to hang with, he waited a few days to let Katou get settled in before he decided to make good on his promise of a date. But he didn't have much going on himself, so a couple nights later he prepared to go meet Katou. He first went for the civilian clothes, but decided instead to go for his jeans as well as a white button-down over his Static t-shirt and the worst tie he could find. Then, he collected a bouquet of flowers and knocked on the door of the auditorium.

Katou laughed, and hopped into the car. "I suppose that is a plus," he said, grinning. He looked around. "They sure tried their hardest to make this place look..." he couldn't think of the right word, though he tried. "Shiny," he finished lamely.

"Space age..y?" he suggested. "It looks pretty good, even if it is kinda old school." He closed the safety bar, and then the ride took off. It began slowly, climbing a steep hill, and once they reached the top of the hill Virgil threw his arms up in the air.

"Yeah, that works," said Katou. He frowned a little at the safety bar - he wasn't a child, but didn't say anything. And, when the ride began to really go, Katou let out a scream of delight and threw his arms up with Virgil.

He turned his face to the ceiling, and grinned. He hadn't seen stars since he had gotten here, so these were nice, even if they were only fake.

Dude, Katou, you have the wear the safety bar on the ride. Virgil laughed along with Katou, enjoying the ride. The lighting made it extra fun, because you couldn't see the tracks as you came and everything threw you off guard.

"This is fucking awesome!" Katou yelled over the wind. "Does this thing go any faster, I wonder?"

"Maybe?" Virgil said. "I could speed it up with my powers, but that probably isn't the best idea..."

"It isn't?" asked Katou. "And why isn't that such a good idea?"

He didn't forget the pizza incident. He was just... conveniently putting it in the back of his head.

"Sometimes I can't...quite control it," he admitted.

Katou grinned. "That just makes it more exciting."

But, he could see how such a thing would make the idea unappealing, so he didn't press the matter anymore.

Virgil frowned, and then put just a small amount of spin on the gears, pushing the ride to go ever faster.

Katou laughed, grinning from ear to ear. It was hard to tell just how fast you were going if you couldn't see the tracks, but he could definitely tell that the were going a bit faster. "Dude, you're awesome!"

"I try," Virgil said. At that moment, the ride careened towards the end where the sudden jerk of the stop at the speed they were going jolted the ride violently. "Whooooaaa," Virgil said. "Okay. That's why you don't do that."

"Oof," said Katou, jerking forward. Then he laughed. "That was fun," he said, grinning. "Where to next?"

"Up to you," Virgil said, climbing out of the ride. "Do you like Star Wars?"

"Do fish breathe water?" asked Katou.

Actually, part of him knew that fish breathed oxygen, but that part wasn't speaking up at the moment.

"Star Tours it is!" Virgil said, leading the way through Tomorrowland. And with that one down, many many rides to go.
