Since Katou had friends in the park Virgil was sure he'd want to hang with, he waited a few days to let Katou get settled in before he decided to make good on his promise of a date. But he didn't have much going on himself, so a couple nights later he prepared to go meet Katou. He first went for the civilian clothes, but decided instead to go for his jeans as well as a white button-down over his Static t-shirt and the worst tie he could find. Then, he collected a bouquet of flowers and knocked on the door of the auditorium.

Katou blinked when he saw it, then he burst out laughing. "Great!" he said. "That was actually really convenient."

"Not at all. I really need to get to know this place better. By the sounds of it though, I've got a ton of time to do so." Katou walked through the open door, batting his eyelashes at Virgil.

"There aren't any workers here, are there?" he hadn't seen any. "Does that mean we need to make our own pizza?"

Well, if Virgil was going to play the gentleman, Katou was more than willing to play the part of the flirtatious girl. As long as it was made clear that he was on top.

"Cool," said Katou. "What do you wan - Wait, why do Canadians have their own bacon?"

"Probably the same," Katou said. "I don't really have much of a preference, as long as it's not that veggie shit. Too bad you guys don't have Japanese style pizza here. I could really go for some nori and bamboo shoots and squid and Shisho leaves." Actually he didn't particularly like Japanese Style pizza - he really did like the Western kinds of pizza the best - but he figured it was probably enough to weird out an American.

"Actually," said Katou, "Barbecue Chicken's pretty popular over in Japan." He paused, then said, "Hey, you guys have any squid ink sauce?"

Truth be told, anything that stained his mouth black was bad news, but this was too good to pass up, especially as Virgil seemed weirded out at just the thought of squid on a pizza.

"Nope," said Katou. "It's pretty bitching. Everyone in Japan eats it on their pizza and their pasta. In fact, it's kinda weird to use tomato sauce. Looks like someone killed someone and slopped their blood over the food. Don't know how you guys can eat it without feeling guilty."

Okay, now he was fucking with Virgil, but squid ink sauce really did exist.

"Yeah," Katou said. "Anything with tomato sauce can have squid ink sauce too." That much was true, at least.

He shrugged at that. "No, I'm fine with tomato sauce. It doesn't taste bad, even if it does look like blood. Besides, I don't really feel like preparing food."
