" 'But oh, beamish nephew, beware of the day,/If your Snark be a Boojum! For then/You will softly and suddenly..." the Cheshire Cat recites, breaking off when it notices it has company. It's sunning itself, draped belly-up over a parapet of the castle, but with an unsettling upside down smile it vanishes and then reappears on the bridge, just to one side of where the transformation took place.

Katou lifts his head a little when he hears someone talking. He had thought death was going to be much quieter than this. He’s bandaged and his head’s bleeding, his leather clothes ripped pretty much to shreds, and his biomechanical arm is laying at his side, but it seems as though he has enough energy to look around a little.

"Well, h-hi there!" says a squeaky voice. Mickey, beaming, is coming up the bridge from the direction of the central plaza. "It's great to see you again! And isn't it a beautiful day!" He draws in a breath and seems to be a millisecond from zipadee-doo-dahing when the castle's portcullis rattles slightly and drops half an inch. He glances over his shoulder. "Cut it out, fellas! Just a minute..." He pats his newly appeared pockets.

Katou jumps a little when he hears Mickey’s voice, and then turns. There’s a memory tugging from the back of his mind, and then he realizes it’s Mickey mouse. “To see me again?” Katou asks. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you before.” He frowns a little, realizing that he can’t really remember much of anything. “Have I?”

"If you were a book," asks the Cheshire Cat, apparently apropos nothing, "what book would you be?"

Katou can’t help but laugh at that a little bit. “I don’t really read,” he answers. He looks at the cat, frowns a little trying to place it, and then shrugs. “Looks like Alice in Wonderland right now, don’t it?”

Mickey has extracted his notebook, and clears his throat. "'Boxers or briefs?'" he reads aloud, and promptly blushes redder than a fire truck.

“Nothing,” Katou says, raising his eyebrow. “Listen, I thought you was a child’s cartoon character. Is that really appropriate?”

"Here's another," says Mickey. "List three things you'd do if you ruled the world."

Katou closes his eyes and tilts his head back so it’s facing the sun. He didn’t think he’d ever see it again. He was given the choice of reincarnation, and he chose to pass it up. He remembers that, strangely enough, despite the fact that he doesn’t even remember his own name.

“I’d make everyone be happy,” he says, because that is Se-chan’s dream, and Katou’s only dream right now is to let Se-chan’s dreams come true. “And I’d make incest legal, I guess. I don’t really know what else. And I’d make it so I didn’t have to go to school no more, and I wouldn’t give Kira back his CD.”

The Cat's eyes seem to be wandering in opposite directions. It says, "Is reality best described as (a) an absolute, not reducible to the sum of its parts, (b) the material or phenomenal world, as presented to us through our experiences, (c) fundamentally unknowable, (d) all of the above - please elaborate - or (e) fish?"

Katou pauses for a moment, seriously considering the question. “I don’t’ know what none of that means,” he answers after a while. “And I’m sure it’s not just because of the head injury or the fact that I can’t remember nothing. So I’m gonna say fish.”

Mickey raises one white-gloved hand as though measuring his own height. "Are you tall enough to go on this ride?"

Katou looks up at Mickey’s hand, then snorts. “What ride? Whatever, it don’t matter. I’m sure if I could stand I would be.”


((Katou, this time from post series. Meaning he's somewhat different than how he was before, and he's not going to remember anything that had ever happened in the park.

Setsuna knew that voice. He barely heard any comments made once the voice registered in his mind. Without a word to Kira, he grabs Kira's hand and pulls Kira over. His brain doesn't bother to register that Katou looks different (the arm), it just sees the immediate mess Katou's in. He doesn't remember the stuff Raphael told him, and right now, he doesn't care.

"Yuu-chan!!" He breaks out into a smile, squeezes Kira's hand to make sure this isn't a dream, then starts looking over Katou, especially his head wound. "Where'd you get this nasty thing from?"

"Se-chan!" Katou exclaims, looking up at Setsuna. He blinks, not seeing Kira at the moment, and shakes his head. "What're you doing here?" He brings up his hand to his head and touches it gingerly. "This? I... don't remember."

This was a really different entry than normal, which was what first attracted Virgil's attention.

But upon arrival, his focus necessary changed. "Whoa. Cool arm!" he said.

Katou grinned and showed it off a little more, moving aside the ribbons of leather so Static could get a better look. "Isn't it though?" he asked, smirking. "It's extremely badass."

"Yeah, really," Virgil said, definitely impressed. "How'd you get it? Uh, you're not a supervillain or anything, are you?"

Fay had heard about Katou's disappearance, and was as confused as the next person to hear the teenager on the tannoy again. And being asked questions by Mouse-sama and Cat-sama again; having missed Aziraphale's second questioning, this was the first time Fay had heard such a thing.

"Katou-nyao?" he asked curiously. "Where have you been hiding all this time?" And then, "How did you get so badly hurt?"

Katou blinked slowly and looked at Fay. Then, he frowned and looked as though he was concentrating very hard. He didn't remember anyone like Fay, especially not anyone who called him 'Katou-nyao', but then, he didn't remember a lot.

"I... don't really remember much," he said. "There was a war."

Fay blinked. He had certainly missed that, if such a thing had happened in the park. If not in the park... "What is the last thing you remember, Katou-kun?" he asked gently.

Crowley took his time in getting to the castle when he heard Katou's voice on the speaker once more. He'd half expected the kid to come back to haunt him. But the longer he listened, the more he realized something was off. Just deciding to see what happened, he stepped forward, holding out the guitar he'd taken from the boy's house. "This is yours," he said flatly, watching for any kind of response.

Katou looked at the guy in the suit as he approached, thinking he was probably just another person coming to greet him, only with a guitar, but when he held the guitar out to Katou and told him it was his, Katou looked more than a little surprised. "Eh?" he asked. "Are you sure?" He looks over the guitar. "It's a nice guitar, you know."

"I know," Crowley replied. He should. He was the one who'd given it to Katou in the first place. "It's yours," he repeated. "You don't remember?"

Ash had a lot of questions, namely about the awesome looking arm and also how this guy got covered in blood and stuff. But there was a more pressing concern.

"What's incest? Is it a new Pokemon move? Cause then I think it should be legal too!"

"Holy shit," says Katou. It's Satoshi. He had known that Pikachu was there, but Virgil had said nothing about Satoshi. He snapped his mouth shut, actually listened to what the kid had to say, and then burst out laughing.

"No," he said. "Incest is when family members fall in love. Has nothing to do with Pokemon."

Dick tried to walk past and ignore what was going on--he did have to be going somewhere...which really wasn't anywhere but what was considered 'home' with Leon, and he wanted to cook dinner tonight. However, the group of people surrounding the somewhat bloodied man was enough to distract him--which wasn't that hard to do to begin with. He carefully squeezed through the people to see that this guy was someone he did not recognize.

"Hey, pal!" he belted out, and then went to say something else...but then didn't. He wanted to ask if he needed help at all, though the man seemed to be...okay...?

Dick stared blankly at Katou for a moment, and then grinned as friendly as he could, spreading his arms wide.

"I don't think so, your face doesn't look too familiar...how are you? You need any help?"

Kurogane had just been walking by, really, on his way back to the cafe after training. He paused here, though, spotting the kid being interviewed--different questions this time around, huh--by the Castle.

"Looks like you got help," he said dryly. "Weren't you already here before?"

"Wow, everyone seems to know me," said Katou. "Katou Yue, or Yue Katou, depending where you're from. You can just call me Katou."

"Uh, sure," Katou mutters. "If that's where I was before."
