Lilly finds pants (Open)

Lilly was excited. She was going to get pants. She was currently in Main Street, going through rack after rack of clothing in the Emporium. Delighted to find that the reports of not actually needing to buy anything were true, she had already slipped on the first pair of blue jeans she got her hands on (she tried not to think about the giant Mickey Mouse head on the back pocket) and was now trying to find a shirt that wasn't too cheesy. She suspected that it was a losing battle, though.

Lilly made a face. "Pirate Princess? That's a bit on the nose, don't you think?"

"Tinkerbell, then?" Veronica asked. "Or would you prefer something in pink?"

"Maybe this one." Lilly laughed, pointing to the shirt (http://flickr.com/photos/61384685@N00/1307667968/) next to the Pirate Princess. "It goes with my ass."

"Oh, the 'ironically sweet' look," Veronica said, taking down a shirt and handing it to Lilly. "I like."

Lilly feigned offense. "What do you mean ironically sweet, Veronica Mars?"

"You were always more spice than sugar, as I recall," Veronica grinned.

Lilly smiled proudly. "Well, you know what Celeste always said. Too much sugar's bad for you."

Veronica browsed through the shirts on a rack. "She missed you, you know," she said quietly. "I mean, she had this awful Grieving Mother act she'd put on whenever people were watching and that was totally cheesy, but Duncan said -" Veronica shrugged. "Well. She really did miss you."

Lilly shrugged in return. She didn't really like talking about the dead thing for real. Jokes were okay, but talking about the fact that she was actually dead was kind of...creepy. "Well," she finally said. "I'd have been surprised if she didn't. I mean, she didn't like me very much, but..." she trailed off. Talking about feelings sucked.

"Guess she loved you," Veronica said. She shrugged again. Yay for awkward emotional discussions. And speaking of, there was something she should let Lilly know about. If she didn't already. "Hey, uh, I don't know how much you, er, saw? I mean, after? But me and Logan - we kind of had a thing, for a little while. A complete mistake thing which is totally over." She hoped Lilly wouldn't be mad about it.

Lilly turned around to look at Veronica, her face hard. "You and Logan had a what? God, Veronica, I'm gone for a year and you're..." Nope, she couldn't do it. She broke out into a huge grin and laughed. "Nah, it's totally cool. I mean, I was dead, right? If I had been at, like, summer camp and you were schtupping him, then I'd be mad."

"There wasn't any 'schtupping' going on with me and him at all," Veronica said. "Although, did you know he was screwing Dick's stepmom?"
