James was bored. James was bored, and he wanted to fly, and maybe have a game of Quidditch. He wished he had slept with his Nimbus 1000 [or even his Silver Arrow, though it wasn't quite as good], so then he would have brought it as well as his wand. Still, he had his wand, and he had read Quidditch Through The Ages enough times to practically memorize it and the basic theory that went into broom making (okay, maybe nothing other than the fact that it had a cushioning charm on it, but he could figure out the rest), so he could probably build a new one.

He knew though, that it would probably take more than just him and his extensive knowledge to build a broom. He knew (or thought he knew, at least) that Sirius liked Quidditch, and he remembered that the twins' brother, Charlie, though not yet Hogwarts age, showed great talent for the sport (or, at least for flying), and, though he didn't know Tonks (or so he thought), he did know she at least had the same magic as him.

He tried to think of the other people in the park, and found that he couldn't, so, he began writing his letters.



Fred and George,

Do you guys like flying/Quidditch? I was thinking of getting together a few of us to try to build a few brooms. You up for it?

I'm not sure if you like flying, but I'm trying to get some wizards (and you) together to build some brooms. Would you like to join us?

And then, he picked up his two-way mirror, which he had carefully removed from the pink Beast backing, and said, quite clearly "Sirius. Hey, Sirius, you there, mate?"




EDIT: After sending off his letters, he laid out in the sun to wait for noontime to come. And then a couple of other young wizards swam into his mind. He sat up and cursed, wondering how he had forgotten that Kira and Setsuna had been Hogwarts students as well.

He quickly scribbled them a couple of letters, and sent them off.



Hey,

You went to Hogwarts, right? I'm building some brooms with some other wizards and witch that I know, would you like to help?

Sirius picked up the mirror, which still had the lovely pink Belle backing attached.

"Yep, I'm here. What do you want?"

"I just wrote to the twins and that Tonks girl," he said, grinning. "How'd you like to build a broomstick with me?"

"Sure. Should pass the time all right," he answered, shrugging. Quidditch wasn't Sirius' thing, really, but it might be fun.

"All right," James said, looking at his watch. It was more of habit than the fact that he thought it would actually work. According to the time, it was 3:41, and given the fact that it was still morning, that probably meant AM. He ignored it completely. "Meet me in Adventureland at," he stole a look at the sky. "Noon?"

"...Sure," replied Sirius. Since there was no way of knowing when noon was, that meant he'd get there when it seemed about noonish and he felt like it.

Well, not that either me or Senpai is any good at this stuff-- Speak for yourself! I'm fantastic! You suck, and you lie. You can't prove that! You've never seen me fly. We're talking about MAGIC. Not flying. There're different kinds of magic. My flying magic is fantastic, thank you. We'll see about that --but I think it would be neat to watch. I'd rather learn to fly one, though. He's basically saying we'll supervise. And help to the best of our abilities.

Just tell us where to be, and we'll go.

As the letter stated, Setsuna arrived at Adventureland when the sun was high in the sky -- he thought that was noon.

Setsuna looked back to give Kira a warm smile, as though they hadn't seen each other in a couple of days instead of just two hours ago. He couldn't begin to explain the effects this place was having on his mind, but fearing people would disappear if left alone for one second was definitely one of them.

It was shortly before Kira started yelling that James seemed to pop out of the ground silently like a ninja behind him. "Yes?" he said, grinning and hoping to make Kira jump. He honestly hadn't been expecting anyone to beat him there, but he could take it in stride.

Setsuna hadn't thought they beat James there, and he certainly wasn't expecting him to just pop up out of no where. Despite the fact James was behind Kira, the blond jumped quite a bit when he heard James' voice and turned to see him, staring with large brown eyes.

"When...where.... How did you just do that?"

"It's magic," he told Setsuna with a grin. Then, he turned to Kira. "I gathered as much. We've still got Sirius, Tonks, and the twins to wait for before we can start though."

"Oh, is it noon already?" Sirius said casually, strolling up beside James. He honestly thought noon had probably been a while ago, but he'd been hungry and stopped for a giant salted pretzel thing. He finished the last bite of that, and then turned to Kira and Setsuna.

"They're wizards too, then?"

"Nuh!" Setsuna broke in, shaking his head at Kira. "Speak for yourself, but you suck at it. And me...I can't seem to do magic anymore, actually."

Setsuna was, more or less, hoping that could be fixed, but since it happened so suddenly, he didn't think that possible.

All the same, he too waved at Sirius with a smile.

James looked at Setsuna, shocked. "You can't do magic?" he asked. "Are you sure you're doing it right?" He hadn't been having any trouble with his magic, after all. He glanced over at Sirius, as though asking if he had been having trouble. He knew that he hadn't been there as long as Kira and Setsuna, so he hoped that it wasn't something that happened over time. He really, really hoped that it wasn't, because he had never had life without magic.

"What?" Setsuna snapped out at Kira, looking at him with wide eyes. "What do you mean? What are you going to tell them? We don't have to tell them anything," he hissed in a panic.

Setsuna was so relieved at Kira's words he let out a sigh full of anxiety and calmed immediately. He was grateful at least one of them could say stuff like that. As far as Setsuna could tell, it was probably something about their own personal magic that didn't mix with the wand usage.

Not that Setsuna knew how to do anything with his angelic brand of magic. And he certainly didn't want to tell James or Sirius about it.

"Yeah, yeah, that's fine, Senpai," the kid said with a smile and a blush of shame. He should have known he could trust Kira.

James was in the process of giving them both looks of disbelief (if they were muggle, they wouldn't've been able to use magic at all, right?), and was trying to figure out what to say, when Fred happened in on the scene.

"Blimey," he said. "George was right! You look just like Harry!" he told James.

He gave Sirius a look (a very relieved 'you're alive, thank God') sort of look, but didn't say anything, as George had already informed him that Sirius was in the park.

And then, he turned to Setsuna and Kira. "I don't believe I know who you are."

"Told you so." George chuckled, seeming to appear out of nowhere. "It's kind of creepy, the resemblance. Just that he's got no scar and his eyes are the wrong color." He spotted Sirius and gave him a wave, happy to see him alive again.

George then turned his attention to Kira and Setsuna as Fred had and nodded. "Yes, what are your names? I think I've seen you here before, but I can't be sure."

"Actually," Setsuna said, glaring at Kira, "Mr. Dum, I'm Setsuna. But as you say, I can easily call you Dum all night."

"I must admit, I'm completely at a loss as to what you two are talking about," Sirius said. "You can't use magic but you went to Hogwarts? Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum?"

But he shrugged. "At any rate, you lot can probably still fly, so this should work out just fine. The twins, James, Tonks and I should be able to build the brooms without issue between ourselves." He glanced at James. "These are some clever lads, these two," he said, gesturing towards the twins. "Remind me of a young us, actually."

We supposedly were banned for life from Quidditch, not that it matters here and not that we ever cared. Fred and I were Beaters for Gryffindor.
