Closed to Kira and Setsuna

Setsuna really had no idea when a half an hour was, so he just went right outside like Kira told him to as soon as he got Kira's last reply.

The whole suggestion of a talk was never a good one, so the kid was on edge, no matter what Kira said. Hands in his pockets, he glowered at the world in general waiting for Kira to show up and explain whatever this was about.

"Well, didn't you notice how I didn't come in until late last night?" the blond started with that. Let this be a guessing game. Let it get dragged out. That was the best route, Setsuna felt.

Setsuna's eyes widened -- this wasn't going well, was it?

A bit panicky himself, the kid tried to repair his words with, "Well, it's not quite like that. I just fell asleep in this restaurant...." And he couldn't get himself to form words beyond that, waiting to make certain Kira remained calm after that -- or stopped thinking someone did something to an unwilling Setsuna.

"It's this restaurant located in Space Mountain," Setsuna answered, looking sheepish for a moment. "Nothing happened after I fell asleep." Setsuna almost laughed at that. "I fell asleep because I let this vampire take some of my blood."

"Gah!" Annoyed, Setsuna narrowed his eyes at Kira, and in an exasperated tone, clearly -- and loudly -- said, "Of course I'm okay! I'm standing and walking and talking, aren't I?" That caused him to break off sheepishly as he looked down at the apple juice and amended himself with, "I mean...well...we were walking earlier."

Setsuna looked briefly at the hand, but did nothing to brush it away, in fact, he scooted a bit closer on the seat to Kira.

"And I let him take it because Sara told me about him, and I got concerned. I wrote to him and asked if he had any idea what he was going to do when he was hungry for blood, and he didn't. I figured that him getting a constant source was better than him going insane with hunger and attacking who knows who," Setsuna explained, calmly as he could -- but some part of his wavering voice gave away how much the thought of some people being attacked scared the blond. "It just made sense, you know? I told him as long as he didn't screw me over, I'd give him blood when he needed it. I figured if he tried to go too far the park would make sure I didn't die. So I was safe."

As for how much.... Setsuna's eyes studied the apple juice carefully. "I couldn't control how much he took, you know. I don't know how much he needs to sustain himself, either. And I'm okay. It's not something to worry over. If I collapsed or something I could understand the concern." He didn't want to admit to Kira Duzell had confessed he took too much.

"He's a very polite vampire. Very courteous and very concerned for my well being in all of this. He got me soda and some sugar stuff that was really good. He even let me lean my head on his cape, so you don't need to worry he's going to do something bad to me. He's not like that. And if he fucked up with me he'd lose a definite meal ticket, and who wants to do that? Isn't it better to know where your next meal is coming from?" the blond asked, so earnestly.

"She met him when he arrived," Setsuna explained, because it was completely okay to hang around anyone if they had just arrived -- or Setsuna seemed to think so. "She didn't sound very convinced he was a vampire, though." At least, she hadn't at the time.

Setsuna leaned into Kira's hug, greedily snuggling into the warmth of Kira's body -- never mind it was pretty warm outside to start with.

As for Kira's spoken desire to tag along, though, Setsuna made an annoyed grunt before telling Kira, "Senpai, how do know how much is too much? I had no way of telling, and Duzell said he was sorry for it. He probably won't do it again."

He looked taken aback by the compliment of bravery, then looked pleased, but by the end of it all Setsuna just looked puzzled. "Well, it's not like I was going to ask someone else about it when it was my idea. It doesn't seem fair, or right. But if you're interested in giving blood instead, then you'll have to talk to Duzell about it. I mean...I don't know if demon blood in the body of someone else is substantial, you know? It might be, it might not be. It might even be better than mine. We'll have to ask Duzell if he's okay with you taking my place, then maybe offer him a free sample?" Setsuna suggested to Kira -- hey, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Clearly, by the way Setsuna stiffened and glared at Kira as he shouted out, "I am not pale and weak!" Kira had hit a nerve. "Yeah, he took a bit too much, but that's going overboard, Senpai. And actually...." The kid calmed down as embarrassment hit him and his cheeks turned a slight pink color. "I meant, you wouldn't know when he's had enough. I wasn't thinking about when he had taken too much from me."

He chided himself for not figuring out that's what Kira meant sooner, feeling terribly foolish.

As for the demon blood.... "Right. Well, when he next writes to me for blood, I'll ask him about it then, okay? If he doesn't know, then we'll both go out there for a sampling." And Setsuna would be there as back up in case Duzell didn't find demon blood satisfactory.

"I'm not arguing that you should let him," Setsuna sputtered out, confused.

When Kira consented to Setsuna's idea, the kid decided, "So this conversation is over, then?"

Setsuna shook his head. "No. I don't hide shit, unless I feel like I have to. You know that, Senpai," Setsuna insisted at once. Well, there was the fact River and Nana had disappeared too, but Setsuna was trying not to focus on those things.

Setsuna put an arm around Kira's shoulders, after, and squeezed him affectionately in return.

"I just told you -- we need to wait for him to contact us. It'll probably be a month or so. He said he can go a while without blood."

Considering Kira's actions, Setsuna leaned against Kira in return, and was the one to ask, "Are you okay?" this time.
