The details of the disturbing death of one of the park residents were still hazy, to the point where Carrot wasn't sure what the actual crime here was. Ribbon-chan had been adamant that there'd been a murder, but without the bloody envelope he wouldn't be able to determine exactly what had happened. And he'd need to find Cayce as well, as murder investigations were always difficult when there was no body.

He didn't know these people as well as he knew the people of Ankh-Morpork, and that complicated matters. He'd only met Cayce once, at the same time he'd met Aragorn, and she'd seemed like a pleasant enough person. But he didn't know where she lived, unfortunately. The most reliable system he'd seen in the park for obtaining information was the post, so he decided to start there.

Leon was trying very hard not to let Carrot's spelling affect Leon's judgment on his intelligence. After all, plenty of smart people couldn't spell. He was one of the few officers on the force who actually had a college degree.

Dear Captain Ironfoundersson,

Yes on both accounts. I've questioned Miho already. I'm going to assume that you have no more information than that which was on the board.

I don't feel entirely confident about sharing information through the mail, and I would much rather meet with you in person to go over the facts that we have so much.

I was just about to get in contact with this Minakochan girl. Have you already?

Yours,

Detective Orcott.

Captain Ironfoundersson,

Yes. Her real name is Nosaka Miho, though all of her friends call her Ribbon because of the ribbon that she wears. I would very much like to accompany you to meet Minako.

Good job. I only met Ms. Pollard briefly, so I can't say I know too much about her, like who she was acquainted with. Though, I do recall her mentioning a friend. Suzie or.. something along those lines. And...

Leon could have headdesked.

Actually, I think I know where she lives. She mentioned it to me when I first met her, I know she did, I just can't quite remember what she said. It will come to me.

Yours,
Detective Orcott

He was severely regretting not writing down the information he gathered on other people, though he had been keeping tabs on what he had learned of the park.

Minako had been second to arrive. She had run there, both because she knew that this investigation needed to take place quickly, and because she just enjoyed running.

"Hi," she said breathlessly once she had found the place where Carrot had said he wanted to meet, and the first thing she noticed was how good-looking he was. She looked around, and the second thing she noticed was that this was a good place to meet for privacy. "Are you the Captain?" she asked.

Leon, on the other hand, was taking his time more. Though he did realize the urgency, he wasn't entirely convineced yet that this wasn't some sort of joke (his meeting with Miho made him question the seriousness of the crime, even when looking at it without any personal bias. He had dealt with a lot of teenagers making up fake murders for attention, and Miho definitely seemed like the attention-seeking kind of girl. And though he knew that trying to make sense of things that happened here wasn't 100% possible, a ghost killing a woman because of a chain letter and then sending it back seemed highly unlikely. There was no denying that Mickey might have thought this was a good chance to strike, but he hadn't made such a bold move so far...).

Besides, if he was running, he wasn't thinking quite as hard, and at the moment he was trying to desperately remember where Cayce had said she lived. "Tomorrowland... Tomorrowland... Fuck, where in Tomorrowland?"

The detective was cute too, Minako noticed right away.

"Captain," Leon said as well, not at all surprised to discover that Minako was also a teenager, though she did look much more serious than Miho had. "Minako-chan, I'm assuming?" He shook her hand, and she nodded.

Minako nodded, and pulled the letter out of the bag she had brought with her, laying it on the table. She had worked very closely with the police in the past (though, she wasn't about to say that because of her age), and she had known to keep it in rather good condition. Unfortunately for everyone, she hadn't dealt with too much evidence, and hadn't realized that it was ketchup on the letter.

It was something that Leon noticed nearly right away, and he groaned loudly.

Leon picked up the letter, and frowned at it. "I have it written without the misspellings in here," he said, opening his notebook and handing it to Carrot. If Carrot chose to anything other than the letter, he'd find the entire meeting detailed in jotnote form (except what Miho said, which was written word for word in shorthand), as well as his various theories about what could have happened which he had written after the fact.

Minako, needless to say, felt very stupid. She should have realized that it was ketchup. Still, she listened to the officers talk.

"It's possible that Miho did it as a prank to get attention, she seems like the type. It's also possible that Cayce sent it to her as a joke, but didn't actually expect her to take it seriously. It's almost certain that Mickey didn't give it to her. Where I came from, there are things called chain letters that are very similar to this, not to mention that Miho mentioned that she had 'created' the ghost. I think it's best if we do go find Cayce though. She lives in Tomorrowland," if only Leon could remember where exactly. "It's possible that she doesn't know any of this is going on. It's also possible that something did happen to her. Apparently, people have gone missing in this park."

"I live under Tarzan's treehouse, in Adventureland," Minako said. "If you would like, you could just write to me as well."

Leon found that, out of all the teenagers he had met so far, Minako was by far his favourite. He gave her a bit of a smile, before he stood up and went to wait right outside of the door. He was confident that once he saw the place, he'd remember where exactly it was where Cayce lived, though he was still mentally running over the different buildings in his mind. Then, quite suddenly, he said "Oh! I think she might live in Starcade."
