Bored, the demon walked over to the lake to see who was around...

((Crowley really, really wants to do some bastardly things to people. If you'd like him to do something nasty to your character, leave me an OOC note in your reply, otherwise he'll be good. Marginally. No promises, really...))

Katou snorted. "I wouldn't wanna share anyway. Do I look like the type of guy who'd wanna iron his tee-shirt and jeans?" Reluctantly, he pulled away from Crowley, realizing that they were right out in the open and someone might see. He straightened up Crowley's jacket as best as he could. "There, good as knew."

"Why the fuck would anyone iron tableclothes?" Katou asked. He gave Crowley a bit of a glare. "You'd better ignore it," he said. "I already said that it was as good as new, so it is."

"Who really cares if you have wrinkled tableclothes?" Katou asked. "Five-star restaurant or not, it's still in Disneyland. I'd leave 'em be and let the people suffer through a wrinkle or two. It ain't like it's gonna kill them none."

He laughed at that. "So, didja see what caused the flood? Did we have a freak tsunami?"

Katou laughed. "Okay, okay. What's a quid?"

He looked over at the lake and couldn't help grinning a little, even if he did like Ska somewhat. "Damn, wish I coulda seen," he said.

"What are you talking about," Katou scoffed. "I can't figure out the English thing at all, and they tried to teach us in school." He rubbed the side of his head. "Even the American shit don't make all that much sense, and it's just a bunch of cents making a dollar. Just gimme one form of money thing, and I'll be happy." Then he blinked. "Why would you spend," there was a bit of a pause, "20,700 yen on a meal? I mean, I know you can afford it but..."

"My mom's cooking used to have lots of elegance and flavour and taste and I don't know what ambiance is, but it probably had that too. And there was definitely an atmosphere when eating." Actually, unlike the rest of the atmosphere in the house, when they were eating dinner, it was always pretty nice, especially when Katou's dad was on a business trip, or when Katou kept his eyes on his food and didn't look up or try to engage in conversation. His dad would talk about work, and ask Sae about school, and maybe even crack a joke or two if he was in an especially good mood. "And the ingredients probably weren't as cheap as most people's food, but I never had to pay a yen for it."

He smiled then. "But I guess if we ever get outta here, you'll have to take me out for dinner sometime."

"I think leather should count everywhere," Katou said. "It's expensive, ain't it? I think that should be enough qualification." He blinked. "Don't think I've heard of none of those." He paused. "Actually, I think I've only heard of Amani because you wear it, and Hugo Boss because he designed the Nazi uniforms and that's pretty awesome."

[identity profile] katou-moon.livejournal.com 2007-03-24 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
"They're totally hot," Katou agreed. Katou could really care less about religion or race or what have you, and he didn't much care about what people might say if he said that Nazi uniforms were hot. Anyone who got uptight about that was probably better off not knowing someone like Katou anyway. "If I was alive back then, I woulda fucked a Nazi just because of the uniform." And then he'd probably get killed or something, because he thought he recalled them being pretty anti-gay, but it would've been worth it.

"Soho, huh?" Katou asked. "I bet I'd be able to find something like that in Ja - New York," he said.

[identity profile] katou-moon.livejournal.com 2007-03-24 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
"The Village?" Katou asked, looking as confused as he sounded. "I thought New York was -" a city. He realized that that was probably a very stupid thing to saw, and managed to stop himself. "You go to New York lots?"

"Oh, Tokyo's divided up too. Just thought Villiage was a weird name to call something." He frowned, wondering if he should maybe research before he moved to New York. Then, he decided that anime and manga, and American TV, music and movies had taught him more than enough about America, and he probably didn't need to.

"A towel would be nice, actually," he said.

((Sure. :D))
