Bored, the demon walked over to the lake to see who was around...
((Crowley really, really wants to do some bastardly things to people. If you'd like him to do something nasty to your character, leave me an OOC note in your reply, otherwise he'll be good. Marginally. No promises, really...))

Crowley was getting an odd sense from this man, so he stayed alert.

"I can think of someone that describes," grumbled John.

"A relatively safe, if paranoid, viewpoint."
no subject
"Where I come from, you've got to be paranoid to get through the day," said Harvey. Someone as observant as Crowley might notice a slight tilt to his shoulders that seemed off. But there was no restless movement. Harvey didn't move unless he had to.

an insane military commandera scheming, creepy megalomaniac. But that's a little complicated to tell a stranger."Earth, by way of a galaxy far, far away. You?" It's close enough to the truth -- the body's from Earth, anyway.

"Never been to London," said Harvey, and it was the truth. "Nice place?"

"And I'm sure your father was very proud of you for that afternoon," Harvey returned smoothly.
"Well, it was always interesting," Harvey said. "Shooting people, getting shot at, trying to keep one large group of angry, armed people from blowing up another large group of angry, armed people." Bragging? Harvey? Never.

"Do you miss being the hero?"
no subject
"Didja HAVE to mention that song?" John said. "Now it's in my HEAD, and it's not getting out!"
"Hero?" Harvey said. "Oh, I wouldn't call myself that. Just a sidekick, really."
((Tagging out for the night ... must sleep and compose a letter. Night!))
no subject
"Oh, come now, don't be modest. No one wants to be the sidekick."
((Okay, sleep well!))

"Oh, I've always been the sidekick. No point in trying to start off on my own adventures -- who'd join my trusty band of followers?"
no subject
"But who wants to be in someone else's shadow all the time. Better to," rule in Hell than serve in Heaven, "be a hero alone than be some nameless sidekick."
no subject
"Oh, I'm used to being in everyone's shadow," said Harvey cheerfully. "Besides, doesn't heroism usually get you killed?"

Truth to say, Harvey doesn't really have experience with getting people killed -- his only job is to keep John alive. Everyone else might be expendable to him, but not to John. And if John really wants to save someone, well, Harvey has to work with him.

to kick around. He had a sort of idea, but he didn't like it very much.Sorry for being late -- a friend lent me Good Omens to reread this weekend and I got caught up.

With a slight incline of his head, Crowley turned to walk away.
((It's easy to get caught up in. :D))

"Nice talking to you," Harvey said, smiling. "Try not to kill all of the ducks on your way."
