Once it got over the shock of being abruptly borne skyward, it backed out of the water jet and hovered there, dripping, high in the air. It started to detach a knife missile from its casing, but then realised the futility of it -- it wasn't as if it knew who or what was responsible for such a thing.
Best to just get out. And maybe find a tree to chop up or something.
Cautiously, scanning in all directions as it went, shields at full strength, the drone began moving away from the lake.
