To whoever may have come to watch, the stage appeared empty. For now. This, however, was not going to be the state for long.
Kaitou was quite miffed at the lack of pigeons at the park -- he was used to working with pigeons; they were intelligent and, well, traditional for magic tricks. There were only ducks in the park, however, and he was yet to figure out how to train ducks to do what he wanted them to. (He might manage to get them to do something, though. After all, his father had worked even with turkeys, and he hardly could be worse than his father, now could he?)
There didn't seem to be many people around yet, but that hardly mattered. A true master would put up a full show even for an audience of only one person.
Despite the lack of pigeons, there were some things available at the park he could use for magic tricks, and he was going to put them to full use. Therefore, the centre of the previously empty stage was suddenly enveloped in a cloud of flowers, among from which he stepped forward. To a casual observer he seemed to almost materialize from the flowers.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" he shouted dramatically. "Welcome to the great talent show! There are several people who have offered to show their talents to other residents. If any of them -- or any of the others -- would like to start the show, please step forward; the stage is yours!"
