Beaufort noticed her sigh and thought he should say something, "You don't have to attempt to be positive, this really does...it's awful, sometimes. My country's being occupied and I'm not there. Which is...a relief, but it's powerless. You're allowed to be angry or upset about it, we're not British." He smirked, attempting to lighten the mood, as just because he was good at adapting to being thrown in at the deep end didn't mean he had to like it.
