Elle wished that her power included heat to melt the ice easily, though she realized that would put her in more danger.

She kept throwing bolts to crack the ice, which had the added bonus of giving her enough illumination to keep an eye on Sylar.

Of course, it had the downside of allowing him to track her just as easily.
