[Without prelude, Ella Fitzgerald's version of "Begin the Beguine" plays.]

Good afternoon, everyone. This is Una Persson with [pause] a rather scant handful of song requests, so I'll be filling up the show with ... well, whatever strikes my fancy, I expect. As always, if there is something that you want to hear, call me at the station, and I'll do my best.

Our first request comes from Crowley, and [amused chuckle] it's very direct and to the point, isn't it? Crowley dedicates Duran Duran's* "Love Voodoo" to Chantinelle, with the message, "Chantinelle, you tease, don't keep me waiting."  My my.

After that, I think perhaps some Serge Gainsbourg is in order. Here's his "Initials BB".

Kira would like to dedicate "Don't Stop" by the Rolling Stones to a woman he doesn't name. He says she'll know who she is, however. [There's a second or two of dead air after the song ends.] Well, Kira, I hope your mystery woman figures it out.

Let's have Dusty Springfield's "Breakfast in Bed" to follow that, shall we?"

Kyouya would like to dedicate the following song to Tamaki: "True Love's Kiss" performed by Amy Adams and James Marsden. [Snickering can be heard in the background as the song ends and the god-mike comes back on.] That ... is ever so charming.

In fact, it's inspired me to dedicate a song to my friends here: this is Sondre Lerche performing a lovely version of Elvis Costello's "Human Hands". I'd no idea that song could actually swing.

Our last request is anonymous: "Eden", performed by Sarah Brighton.

[A thoughtful silence after the song ends, and then, again without prelude, Madeleine Peyroux's cover of Tom Waits's "(Looking For) The Heart of Saturday Night" plays, followed, incongrously, by the Armadillo String Quartet's version of "Youkali Tango".]

[A second of dead air. He's likely paused to roll his eyes.]

Well then. I'll make sure I'm less impressed in the future.

Clearly not, or I'm sure it would have been better received. I could always rustle one up, I suppose.

That was a lovely show, Una-san! I'm sorry you didn't get more requests. Could you maybe play something from the '80s (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU) for me?

Ummm, yes! You know that song by Rick Astley? I don't know what it's called, but he keeps saying he won't give you up or anything?

I want to hear that!

[Makes a wounded sound."] You're so cruel when you're sober.

Actually, I was wondering if you could up a Franz Ferdinand (http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Evil-And-A-Heathen-lyrics-Franz-Ferdinand/4970EC3219B0ED9B48257083000B117E) song for me. Little number by the name of Evil and A Heathen (http://download.yousendit.com/F1CC48AE1BE9A946)?

[And you can certainly hear him smile.]

Thought you'd enjoy it, darling. Either way, I'm sure you're staving off boredom better than most.

Yes it is, isn't it?

[You could read a lot into that tone as well. But it was more likely you'd zero in on one aspect of it.]

I'll be signing off then. Try not to have too much fun without me.

((omgWHUT? Wow. That's... amazing. XD))

Hey, Una, whilst we're on the Eighties, thanks to...um...whoever that was, let's have some decent representation of it, yeah?

Course, I mean Pressure Drop (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R25H1U5S) by Toots and the Maytals (http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/hardertheycome/pressuredrop.htm). Ska time and all that. Ta!

You're bloody awesome, y'know. [moment's thought] Don't suppose I can bother you for another? Because some people in this park just don't skank enough. It's a classic, promise.

((*cough* guess who just got the This is England soundtrack today? XP I now have more things to request.))

Awesome. When I said classic, I meant it, so it's Come on Eileen (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XVOKJWQK) by Dexys Midnight Runners (http://www.lyrics007.com/Dexy's%20Midnight%20Runners%20Lyrics/Come%20On%20Eileen%20Lyrics.html).
