Alexiel breathed in calmly and stared at Kira like he wasn't even there, but in truth, she was a bit surprised Kira didn't seem to believe her. Then there was his last comment, which made Setsuna's lips curve up just a tiny bit on one-side; not quite a crooked smile.
"You would not bow down to me. Nor would you ever admit defeat," that's what she had always loved about him, ironically, "so why would I try for it?" Alexiel aimed for things she knew she could get, after all. Or what was the point of manipulation? And at that, she was even more tempted to leave. What else did they possibly have left to say to each other in the absence of sex, a sword, or sudden death?
