Una really didn't mind Sador's (damp) affection at all; not that she'd ever been one for pets, but a friendly dog was a welcome sight in this weirdly sterile place.

"My god," she murmured. "That speaks of a singularly implacable enemy. And incredible fortitude on your people's part." Not to mention luck, but she was pretty sure she didn't need to say that out loud.
