In his travels for the day, Dick managed to stumble upon (and almost fall in) a pond, alive with none other than fish ducks.

He grinned, and, not having much else to do at the time, reached into his pocket to pull out bits and crumbs of cookies to feed the cute little guys. He thought he should maybe take a trip to Tomorrowland's theatre to continue looking for that Sara girl, but right now he was also worried about the condition of Leon; he didn't come home last night, and Gumshoe would have liked to keep out of his business, but the fact that Leon wasn't...quite happy the past few days had him slightly concerned.

But dang were these ducks cute. He chuckled as he played with his new feathery friends; they were so cute, how could someone NOT smile when they were around them? That was when an idea was born in Dick's head...

He should take a duck home to Leon! That'd cheer the guy right up, he was sure of it!

And as gentle as the big man could, he carefully scooped up one of the more friendlier creatures into his arms with full intent of heading straight back to the apartment...

((Yay, nay? Leon, I DO have my facts right, right? I remember someone asking about the duck thing but I don't remember hearing anyone trying it? Either way, I wouldn't put it past me that Gumshoe would go for it anyway.))

The day after the town meeting, Susan decided to pay Rae Seddon a visit -- in part to express her gratitude for the baked goods, and in part to get her take on the whole situation.

It was a day off for the children, so after making sure that she had at least some idea of where they'd be, she walked over to the Blue Bayou.
