If anyone had happened to wander into the back room of Le Bat En Rouge (having first stepped over the thick line of salt inside the door and passed untroubled by the half dozen strange runes and sigils carved into the doorframe) they would have been rather startled by its appearance.

The scant furniture and boxes of extra merchandise had been pushed into the middle of the room, creating a small, awkwardly balanced island surrounded by a floor space completely covered in scraps of paper and other bits of trash.
