Calvin's reaction was all that could possibly be asked for in terms of enthusiasm: his eyes widened to saucer-width as the gold and silver thingamabob was used, stared for a moment, and then began bouncing up and down with appreciation. "That's awesome! How'd you do that? What is that? Can I try?"
