Semi-closed Tomorrowland get together

[[Invitations here, party here. Backdated to yesterday.]]

Thankfully, the kid got over his slightly painful exchange with Katou rather quickly, especially in the face of a party and seeing everyone. He hadn't heard from Demyx, but the kid was holding out hope he'd show up anyway. Seeing the Starcade games on and going made the kid grin. The "DO NOT MAKE OUT HERE" sign on Cayce's office door only made him crack up. Fine, if he and Sara got caught making out anywhere else, and someone complained, he'd point out he wasn't making out in the office.

There were tables for refreshments on the upper level, along with tables for people to sit at with food and drink. He added some sodas he'd brought along to the refreshment table, then a couple of pizzas to another table, already feeling the giddy mood of celebrating for no reason enter his system.

His "duties" done, Setsuna went to the lower level and, instead of waiting by the door like a good host, the kid, impatiently, started to play one of the games.

It was really too bad that Setsuna hadn't been with him and Crowley for New Years; they had had a ton of Japanese cooking then. But Katou didn't remember that, and Setsuna probably didn't know about it, so the only person who knew that it had happened was Crowley, and he wasn't likely to ever talk about it.

"Cool," said Katou. "I had to skip out on the dashi soup because Faygot didn't have it, and I couldn't find anything in his kitchen to make it with." He also had to skip the sake and mirin.

"Oh really?" Katou said, raising an eyebrow. "That's too bad. Turns out they don't have squid ink pizza here, either. I was sorely disappointed." No he wasn't. He wasn't at all.

Katou laughed. "Listen, I told Virgil that we all eat squid ink pizza back home, okay? I said that Japanese people don't like tomato sauce because it looks like someone was murdered over the pizza. You know, 'cause it looks like blood? So, if you could just play along if he brings it up..." he frowned. "I'll need to find Kira too, to tell him."

"Oh, he seemed pretty shocked that we have squid on our pizza." Actually, Katou didn't mind squid on his pizza, even if he did like Western style pizzas better. "He was pretty hung up on squid and squid ink sauce though, so we didn't really talk about much more."

"That'll need to be the same for the bamboo shoots and nori too," he said, grinning. "And, of course, the squid ink sauce."

Katou frowned. "You know, he might not. He didn't ask what it was, but then, he might have been stuck on the squid thing."

Katou laughed. "I probably should've done that myself. Maybe he would've been more caught up with the nori than the squid."
