John glanced up without jumping, though he did look a bit startled once he took in the face in front of him. Far as he could remember, Crowley didn't like him very much. In fact, they hadn't spoken since John's arrival, unless he counted the casual bitch-out he and Daniel had received on their Fourth of July radio show for mentioning a Queen song.
Still, John was (nearly) always reasonable when other people were willing to be; a negotiating tendency that he probably had inherited from his mother. Crowley would get no sniping from his end for starting a simple exchange.
