We guide good souls, called pluses, to the afterlife and purify evil souls, called Hollows, before they can pass on to the afterlife as well. The literal translation to English is 'death god,' but I don't think it's right to call me a god, and 'grim reaper' or 'soul reaper' seems to have more appropriate connotations anyhow."
