He doesn't really understand what the deal is with the two men--he always thought cops were cool, anyway--his face doesn't show hurt as much as it does confusion at the moment. He figures that if Katou has apparently been around for only half an hour, he probably needs a friend or two, which only makes this more confusing to the big man.
