"Yeah?" he said. "Well, Japan's cool. You get all the best martial arts movies before we do! That's gotta mean something. I guess if you're in the middle of a war, that's not so great." He frowned. "Hey, what year are you from? I don't think Japan's been in a war since the 1940s. Unless that's just the fictional history of my fiction world," he said cheerfully. "History class has never seemed less relevant."
