Sam doesn’t want to shake his hand. There are too many dangers in physical contact, and even though the man is an extraterrestrial rather than a supernatural creature it doesn’t mean that the same rules don’t apply. Still, he knows a challenge when he hears one.
“They’ll never believe me,” he says, offering his hand. Smiling. “Seriously? You know, we write all these stories, but I don’t think there are many humans who actually believe we’re worthy of much notice from anyone else out there.”
He’s noticed by now the guy’s repetition of the words ‘alternate dimension,’ and he kind of thinks that maybe he’s being made fun of for saying them.
