Chii was unaware a robot should be spoken to any differently than anyone else, so she thought Percy was doing just fine. In fact, he seemed very polite, and thorough, as he called her "the robot."
Smiling, Chii nodded her head. "Chii said robot, yes." But she couldn't have explained her purpose if asked. What she looked like was obvious, though.
"So what is Mr. Percy? Other than human?" The second question was delivered with a hopeful, but curious tone.
