The only problem with the soundproofing was that Crowley didn't know when the kid had gone. Eventually he remembered that the boy had been there and, curious about what he was doing, the demon stepped out onto his balcony to look down at the sad figure slumped by the door. He sneered.
Silent and still, his black form blended into the shadows cast by the waning light. He wouldn't call it lurking, really, because that implied he was waiting for something, but he didn't call any attention to his presence high above, either.
