Strange could make no judgement on the young man's attestment to his own skill, having seen nothing of it, so he merely nodded in an amused fashion, as any placating gentleman in his position would. "There seem to be many of you about. I don't suppose that means you have any insight into what this place might be, for your part?" He was assuming a negative answer, but it never did hurt to ask.
