"Sni - Snape?" James asked. He knew that Snape was a Death Eater, through and through, and though recently, Snape had been showing up at Order meeting and Dumbledore seemed to trust him, James didn't trust him at all. Lily had talked to him once or twice, telling him that maybe Snape really was a good guy, James couln't believe it, and sometimes Lily didn't seem all that convinced either. His being a Death Eater had really hurt her, shaken her trust in him, and as much as she was trying to trust him, she couldn't do it completely.
"You sure he was really aiming for someone else?" James asked bitterly.
