'What the hell?!' was the only thing Ichigo could ask himself as he both no longer felt the cushiony-feel of his bed and saw nothing but what appeared to be some sort of fable apparition secured in his surroundings. Standing there in a terrible mixture of strong puzzlement, awe, and what could be antipathy, the boy stayed where he was at, almost convinced he was pulled into some sort of mindfuck of a dream.

Just to be sure, he decidedly pinched himself near his forearm, and when he felt the sting you'd normally feel, he inappreciably cringed.

Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"

Ichigo shoveled away whatever bothersome trouble to the back of his mind and discontentedly pushed his hands into his front pockets. How ridged his brows usually were and the practical dirty look across his face was even more ignited as he didn't get any of this. "Kurosaki Ichigo," he scoffed.

"What is your quest?" asks the Cat. It's perched, suddenly, on the roof of one of the gate-stiles.

Standing as if he was inelastic, Ichigo finally shifted some of his weight into a more undeclared stance and glared -- more so because he was both pondering and still trying to figure out the answers to his own questions. With noteworthy integrity he said, "To protect my loved ones." before relaxing the tension in his face just a little. He chose to add afterwards, "Not a quest, but whatever. Close enough."

"'What is the average w..?'" Mickey frowns down at the notebook. "You know, I don't really see why that's important." He flips a page. "'If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?'"

With a far more flat look -- indifferent and disinterested -- Ichigo stated matter-of-factly, "I don't make wishes. I go for what it is I want and face whatever the outcome will be."

"Or," the Cat says, examining its tail with interest, "if you were a genie and someone you were trying to give three wishes to was trying to trick you into giving him more, what would you say?"

"I'd punch him and tell him to stop being so greedy!" For some reason the question brought out an unexpected seriousness in him. Not that he minded it, himself, nor cared if either of the two before him did, so he carried on like it was nothing. "Besides, wishing for something you want is overrated."

Mickey looks rather nonplused at the next, but reads, "'When the revolution comes, what skills will you be able to barter for food?'"

The delving seemed to amuse him, but the look dropped not a second later. "If the revolution ever comes -- guess I'd give up my strength in exchange for food." He didn't mark it appropriate to put so much thought into haphazard questions. But then again, if it were a test... well, it sure as hell was a weird one, that was for sure. Another reason why he found it not much of a big deal.

The Cat rolls its eyes in a friendly (and rather disconcertingly out-of-sync) way, and asks, "Milk, dark, or white chocolate?"

"Don't like sweets," he conceded bluntly. "Why the hell does my liking, more like dislike, of sweets have to do with anything?" There was a feeling he wouldn't be answered with this one, and that only caused a small itch of exasperation to ascend.

"'Choose the two coolest: robots, pirates, fairies, bears, ninjas, monkeys, vampires, or humans,'" says Mickey, giggling a bit as he goes through the list. "'Explain.'"

Noticing that he was right, he sighed excessively and resumed a dissatisfied scowl. "Bears and ninjas." He really didn't know and could care less, finding it lame to have to explain. So, he just half-assed the answer, "They're both significantly independent."

"Great!" Mickey flips through the blank pages of the notebook at top, cartoon-y speed. "Well, I think that's just about it! Oh, and I'm supposed to ask, 'for your safety: are you carrying anything sharp?'"

Undaunted, Ichigo removed his hands from his pockets and crossed his arms over his chest, still transfixing his stiff stare at them. "If only."
