The young antichrist watched silently. He didn't look hurt, per se, but he wasn't smiling. Adam knew better than anyone how everyone felt, what awaited them both now and later, and how everything always boiled down to people being people. But what good what it do if he waved his hand and fixed the world? No one would learn anything, no one would grow or change, and he had never wanted that responsibility.
