Sometimes I think they didn't even realise that was what they were doing." Her mouth twisted a little in amusement. "She came into her own eventually, though. I'm glad I was there to see it." She chuckled. "I've got a title in that world. Countess of Scaith, in the far north of Albion. I'm Gloriana's confidante and personal secretary. And for a long time there, I think I was her only real friend."
