"That they are, it still unnerves me however," Marguerite explained then dropped the subject.

"No?! Truly, he is a hero of sorts from my time," she explained, more than happy to talk of the accomplishments and bravery of the Scarlet Pimpernel. "He risks his life in order to save those innocent from the guillotine. People who he may not know, or of little consequence to him or his league. They are a band of men we believe," she went on excitedly, taking a sip from her tea before going on. "We wear the Scarlet Pimpernel in a homage to him and his bravery. He has done what so few have had the courage and the daring to do," she said sadly thinking on the Count and his family and how she unwillingly sent them to their death. "And I owe him more than I could say. He saved someone so dear to me, I only wish I could thank him myself," she said with a sad smile.
