Somewhere in Toon Town - Dusk

Elle was bored again. She hadn't seen Spike in ages, so she decided she was going to go look for him.

She was unaware of any imminent threat that might be lurking, despite Cayce's recent warning about someone looking for her.

[post is open, but first thread is for Sylar & Elle (and the Mickey cops) only. read here for more info.]

"Jesus Christ ow, you little bitch." Sylar got his breath back and found that he was on his knees, hands supporting his weight on the pavement. "Right."

Sylar completely threw aside previous plans for freezing, escaping the park's forces, and not being equally sadistic, and raised one fingers, eyes darkening in rage.

He traced a line paralell to Elle's forehead, focusing his power to pin-point precision as he started to slice open the top of her head, and blood welled up along the line as he cut, and began to run down her face.

Unfortunately, Sylar couldn't continue as he was bodily lifted by invisible forces, carried at high speed across the park, and finally dumped into the castle's moat.

Of course, so was Elle - a little distance away.

Ruffled ducks quacked at them before swimming to less turbulent waters.

"Me? It was you! With the blackout!" Sylar surfaced, spluttering and furious. Damnit. So close... If Elle hadn't put that together yet, he certainly wasn't going to clear it up for her. "Violence in the park! And they noticed because you took out the power! Freaking genius!"

"I wasn't trying to kill you kill you. I had a goal." Sulking, Sylar sloshed his way over to the edge of the fountain and began wringing out his jacket. "You probably would have survived. I just needed to look at your brain. Do you know another way to do that?"

Details. People got so hung up on the details. "You're acting like this was personal."

"You work for those freaks?" He should have guessed. "Like they're so pristine and pure. You do know about the Haitian, and how they use him to keep the ones like you in line, don't you?"

Or so he guessed. It certainly looked like that from inside his cell, and the way they'd recruited Molly Walker would point in the same direction. "Power power power, that's what they're about." Ignoring her question, he settled down on the bench surrounding the fountain and cocked his head at her. "What else does the file say about me?" Always good to know what your enemy knows.

"Dangerous?" He managed not to laugh-- because that last jolt had really hurt, and they were both standing in water, and a temper tantrum now? Not a good idea. Carefully he asked, "For whom? Or didn't you want a bodyguard who could dampen you down all the time?" Don't push. Don't push *too* hard. He sighed long-sufferingly, and shook his head. "I suppose you can't see it that way, though."

"And you're how old now? Twenty-something? Twenty-two, twenty-three..."

Fixing people isn't easy, either. But if you can see how someone works (and sometimes he could, if they were simple enough; and she might be dangerous, but complex Elle didn't seem to be) you can sometimes get them to think the way you want them to.

"Ahhh." Which he could sympathize with, his late and unlamented father being the controlling sort as well.

Contemplatively, he climbed out of the fountain, and watched her wade to the side. "Since the park has objections to our continuing this, I suppose we'll have to call it a draw." He smirked just a little, little bit. "I was totally winning, though."

"We'll never know." Damnit. It looked like the Park was just not going to stand for his favorite hobbies. He was going to have to try a lot harder, and smarter, to get what he needed from people. The direct approach was too damn easy to thwart. Slicking water out of his hair, he shrugged. "You up for some ice cream?"

"Why not?" Sylar fell into step with her, very amused at her nonchalant acceptance of their unspoken truce, and added, "Used to be I could do something about that, but, well... Small incident. Now we're just going to have to air-dry or change. There's ice cream this way, anyway."

No hard feelings. Here's some candy, little girl.

"Oh, telekinesis. Freezing. You saw those." He paused to shed his jacket, and pulled his shirt away from his chest to let it dry. "Precognitive drawing, I don't know what else you'd call it. I drew you and Veronica meeting, and after that, I was just so curious."

This girl was way too blase'. No more 'normal' than he was. So it wasn't a hardship to be a little more honest with her.

Easy smile, even as he gave an internal twitch, especially at the mention of the radioactivity. "So I did." He smirked back at her. "So. You know all my secrets. I suppose I'll just have to guess yours."
